I was wondering how long were you TTC before your doctor would put you on it? Today starts my 5th month of TTC with 2 losses. And I was just thinking about some of my options. Thankx for any advise you can give me.

I was put on it after 11 months of trying and two losses.

my doctor wanted to put me on right after my first loss and only after a couple months of trying. I told him I wanted to hold off but I could only hold out until about April and then we decided something had to be done. My progesterone was so low it was only 5 with the clomid this last time!!!! So now he upped the doseage. I am glad I found out (albeit the hard way) that we needed something to help us TTC.

We've been TTC for almost 15 months with one loss. I am now on my second cycle of Clomid, and really hoping and praying it works for us this time! Last cycle I took 50mg, and I O'd for the first time since October! We went through extensive testing before going on medications to make sure this was the right decision. I've read that some Dr's are a little too giving with Clomid, and some women don't need it, or probably wouldn't benefit from the medicine. I'm not sure how true this is, just something I read online.
