How did you meet your husband or significant other?

Mick and I "met" 7 years ago online !!! we established a friendship....and finally got smart and decided to take it a step further when we actually met face to face when he flew to NJ after 3 years. I made a trip to Illinois a year later and knew that this was it for me ! In 2006, I left NJ to move out here so we could start our life together ! FINALLY !

I met my S/O at one of my jobs 3 years ago. I was working at an automotive plant and I was his supervisor. I wasn't going to date him because I was very cautious about dating my co-workers. But we had a lot in common and now were getting hitched.

I met Jim when I was 15 in HS. We were friends for 2 years before we started dating. I dated this one guy all through HS and he dated this one girl all through HS. Just so happens that we both broke up with our SO around the same time. A few months after we graduated I was my girls wing woman on a date with a mutual friend and Jim was the dates wing man. We'll we got to talking and have been together ever since...8 years in October.

I met buck in high school back in 95-96 one of those yrs. and have been together this whole time. we got married after i graduated in 1997. but ill never forget the day i met buck lol we was sitting in class and him and his now ex friend was sitting behimd me and one of my friends at the time. they were big time show offs. and then he got my # from my friend and then asked me if it would be ok if he called i told him yeah thats fine well that afternoon after we got out of school he called and asked me to dinner and i went w/him and then when he got me back home he asked me if he could give me a kiss and i said sure can and he did and i knew that was it for us and that he was the one for me.

My husband and I met in HS also..I was 16 and he was 18...he was friends with my brother and since they both fly airplanes, matthew used to come over and go flying with my brother. At my surpise 16th birthday party (we both had just broken up with our ex's) i opened the birthday card from him, it was one of those funny cards but yet sweet...and i remember him writing at the bottom that i had a beautiful smile...and that night i knew that i liked him (i had a friend sleep over and told her i did, and she accually said she liked him too, but he didnt like her at all LOL)...before he left my house we gave each other a hug...and 3 days later he asked me out...we dated for 2 years before we got engaged, were engaged for one year, and now we've been married for a year and a half...so we will be hitting our 5 year anniversary (being together) in may and our 2 year wedding anniversary in April) I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe

The first time I met my husband I was actually marriage to my previous husband and was 8 months pregnant with my daughter. I was not very friendly to him and we never even spoke. He actually worked with my ex husband while he was going to college.


3 years went by and we met again officially at my work. It was his first day on the job. I was just starting to through a divorce and he was absolutely adorable! I even remember seeing him a work bowlind fund raiser while I was still with my ex...and thinking he was so handsome.
Well one of the girls that sat next to me kinda dared me to ask him out.... so I did... And I used a lame line that I didn't know many places in town and now that I was single I needed someone to show me! ( I GREW UP HERE!)
So we started interoffice emailing...

Our first official date was to the Haunted Houses in Kansas City. Great cuz it gave me a reason to get close!

We've been married 6 years come September 22nd but actually been together for 9.

I met Chris at a party when I was in first year college. I was actually meeting one of his best friends (Taeus) there and heappened to bring along Chris. Well I dated Taeus for a few months but always refered to Chris as my "other boyfriend". After Tae and I broke up I moved away for the summer, but not before telling Chris that I had a thing for him. We decided not to do anything about it though out of respect for Taeus. Well when I moved back we started hanging out alot and he talked to Taeus about liking me. A couple weeks later he asked if we should make it official. We moved in together 7 months later and got married 2 years after that. We have been together 5 years come September.

I met my DH when my brother married DH's sister. Sounds like a bad Jeff Foxworthy joke, but it's true! We've been married almost 12 years. They have 5 kids, we have 2. All 7 look like they could be siblings. In fact, their kids were tested when Cameron needed bone marrow (not quite a close enough match for them).

My husband and I met the first day of 7th grade! We became friends and started dating within that last couple of months of school. We dated on and off from then but always stayed friends. He even rubbed my stomach when ever he would see me at school ( I was 15 and a sophmore when I got pregnant) when I was pregnant with my son (he's not his biological child but did adopt him) and came over to see my son right after I had him. We started dating the final time right after I graduated from high school and got married a year later. All of my friends envy our relationship because we get along so well and I think that has everything to do with being friends for such a long time before we were married and growing up together.
