Hi girls !

first thank you all so much for you well wishes !
after my last post yesterday afternoon, around 4:30 pm we lost power.....our street was under water, my house sits about 1/4 mile from the road & I could see the lake that out road had become. The rain was coming down in sheets...couldnt see anything out of the windows !

so here I was, in the dark, no power.....no phone ( we have Vonage which goes through the computer)....pounding rain & thunder shaking the house, yep, I was scared !!!!
around 7:30 pm, Mick's brother braved the flood, followed by his parents & got Sadie & I out of here, and back to town to their house.
Mick worked until midnight. we got back to our house to check things out ( still storming big time!!! )....our power came back on at 1:30 am.
So here I am ! safe and sound with more storms on the way !

you girls are the best !!!!

Wow, glad you're okay! Did your house survive the storms so far?

yes, our 100+ yr. old farm house & barn are still standing!!! Unfortunately, so many homes were damaged out here, especially more towards Chicago.
Just about everyone we know has flooded basements! My poor future FIL has been pumping out everyone in the family !!!
it has been never ending out here !!

actually I think I am just gonna curl up on the couch today & do nothing. I feel blah...am sooo tired, and cold !!! Just can't get motivated to do anything (except maybe poas & hide from the storms if I have to!)
