Hi, my name is Shelley. I had a miscarriage on August 7th of this year and we want to start trying again soon. But I am not sure when would be a good time. Plus, I think I am about to get my period again. And this may be TMI but are your PMS symptoms worse after a miscarriage? My cramps are EXTREMELY bad. I am worried if it is a problem or if it happens to alot of people. Thanks!

Hi Shelley!

I am sorry you lost your baby I wish no one else ever had to feel the pain and loss we have all felt here. We may act silly here most of the time, but we are all here for you good or bad. Feel free to jump right in to any conversation.

My first cycle wasn't too bad, but the one after that was he**. Everyone is different. If you are worried I would call your doctor just to be sure.

I am glad you found us here.... I have to say this board is the BEST I have ever been on. Laugh, cry, scream, vent, it's welcome here. Even if it's all at the same time

I hope your stay here is very short and sweet.

lots of to you.

Hi Shelley! I think you will find this community informative, encouraging, supportive and funny!

I had my miscarriage on August 12th and we are TTC right away. There is no right or wrong answer for when it is right for you to TTC again. Some doctors have lots of different answers so my point of view is that a couple should TTC when the time is right for them.

My sister had a miscarriage and her first period was very painful and her doctor told her this was very normal.

I am so sorry for your loss and hope that you find the support you need here!

hi - I'm new here myself. I'm sorry for your loss. I agree that if you're concerned, you should call your doctor. BTW I'm Lori & I've had 4 losses. AF arrived today, so we're about to start TTC again.

Hello and welcome to this board! I am so sorry for your loss!
With mine, my AF's went right back to a normal 28 - day cycle, but the symptoms that come with it after the pg's are totally different and much more pronounced.

So sorry for your loss.
Different doctors give different advice on when to start TTC.My obgyn said 3 mos but my RE said 2 is good enough.
Also the first AF after my m/c was normal. No difference.
Be sure to call your doc if you're concerned.

welcome to the board

I am so very sorry for your loss
It is so hard to say what is normal after a loss......everyone's body heals differently and in it's own time. My cycles pretty much went back to "normal" 3 mo. after my loss. I was very sick during my m/c and bled for a long time, before, during an after. My dr. told me I could ttc right away...but I chose to wait until just recently to do so. I just wanted to make sure my diabetes stays well under control !

I wish the best for you & hope you find the board as much fun & supportive as I have !!

Dee
