I saw Steph's post but wanted to post my own as I have some questions as well. I was at 16 wks 2 days when I had my D&C. I had light spotting for a couple of days then my bleeding picked up like a regular period where it got heavy and then tapered off again, however I am still having some very light spotting, not enough to even wear a liner. Do you think last wk could have been considered a period. I have no idea where my hcg levels are as I haven't been tested for that. I have started trying to chart just so I can see if I O but when I am still spotting two wks after my D&C I don't know what to think. I started taking my temp yesterday but forgot to do so this am. I'm just wondering how long all of you bled or spotted after your m/c and how long it took before you started seeing things returning to normal? Also does anyone know if bleeding can kill the sperm? According to FF if I count last wk as my period I should O sometime next wk, hence also why I am trying to watch my BBT, but if the spotting I am having is going to kill off the sperm seems like a lost cause to try. I do have a post op appt next Tues so hopefully some of my questions will be answered then as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I personally would consider that from the m/c and not a period. My bleeding after my D&C was the same way. It started out really light and then got heavy. Mine lasted longer though.... anyways.... AF showed up four weeks after my D&C.

I wouldn't think the spotting would kill the sperm because people have gotten pregnant during their period.

I am happy you are going to chart! YAY!!! Charting will help you know if you are Oing or not. The trick is to temp at the same time each day with a BBT. I made the mistake the first month of just temping whenever I woke up... not matter what the time. What a mess that chart was....LOL

If the doc says it's okay to try... just plan on BDing as if you were Oing next week. Can't hurt right?

Lots of O dust to you!

I have charted before and actually looked back at the last m/c and realized that, that pg occured the first cycle charting after coming off bc so I guess we will see what happens. Unfortunately it sounds like I am deffinately going to have to wait for AF to show up before we can truely start trying. I will keep charting this cycle though just to see if I O or not. However I will have to be careful next cycle as I don't want to get pg then. I saw your post for June DDC, I don't want to be there as my son is a June baby and I don't want more than one June baby. So I guess I'll have to wait and shoot for July.

I just had my post D&C appt. yesterday and dr. said all was good.
I hope on Tuesday you get the same news!!!
As to the bleeding, I had very little. Only the day of the D&C and a little the next morning. Since then (the last 12 days) I have had a small amount of blood about once every 3 or 4 days and only when I go to the bathroom. So just when I think AF may be coming, it stops.
Yours sounds more consistent with a period except with the D&C being so recent it's hard to know for sure.....I say bd next week as if your O'ing! Practice makes perfect....and babies
