Hi all, I unfortunately had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. It happened naturally this past Wednesday and I'm still bleeding a bit. From the u/s it looked like everything had passed so I will be getting my HCG checked in a couple weeks to make sure it drops to less than 5. The day I miscarryed it was 9000, which they said was kind of high, so I am hoping that it is not a problem and that I do not end up needing a D&C or anything.

My doctor advised me to wait one cycle and then we can TTC again. So I think that is what we are going to do.

I'll be here lurking around and hopefully be TTC in about a month, depending on what AF decides to show up.

I'm going to chart for now just to see what goes on this month.

Does anyone have any OPK brands that they like? I used Answer brand before and I really did not have much luck with them. The lines never got dark enough for me, but I was Oing.

I'm sorry to welcome you here, but welcome you are!!!

I have a generic OPK that I buy at the dollar store.
(Actually, they're $1.49 for a pack of 7)
They're just like the Answer brand, but substantially cheaper!!!

Good luck!!!
Dawna

Hi... and

I am sorry you lost your baby I hope you heal quickly and are pregnant again when the time is right for you. I had a natural m/c at 14weeks but ended up with a D&C too. The D&C wasn't too bad. Hopefully you won't have to go that route.

About OPK's... I love the Answer brand...but not the mid-stream sold in a pack of 7. I like the dip kind sold in a pack of 20. That is the only brand (besides digital) that I get a clear positive with.

If you need help charting, just ask.... most of us here chart. There is also a Fertility Charting board here at justmommies

I can't wait to get to know you. We have a chat tonight at 8:00 in the TTC room. We would love for you to join us if you can.

Bobbie

I'm sorry you're here - I followed your story early on and was hopeful for a good outcome. Last year I had a natural m/c and on the day we found out, my beta was 34,000. It took about 6 weeks to get down to 0.
