some of you may remember my horror story about my dr.s.
Phoning the office got me nowhere every time, even when I was m/cing.....so 3 days ago, I wrote a letter....(Love doing that) I got a message today, saying that they will call me & let me know how much it will be to copy the chart, so I can have it sent to me. Finally....I will be able to see what was going on once and for all.

glad you are getting your records!!! They are definitely an eye-opener bc the dr's don't always give you the full story. If you ever have surgery, make sure to get a transcript of the surgery too.
Dh was telling me tonight that the statute of limitations still hasn't run out for me to go after the one dr that told me that I did NOT have an ectopic and I had nothing to worry about (my 1st pg, when my dr was on vacation that week), not that I'll do that, bc even if they had caught it sooner I think the result of losing the tube would have been the same.

the receptionist called me today, She was always sweet, and she told me the dr. charges $35-$45 for copies. I had only seen him a handful of times, so how freaking big could the chart be...lol
anyway, I also asked her if any u/s pics were in there, she said, yes there is one from 9-28,(one year today)the report says possible embryo seen. That was the last u/s I had before the baby was gone.
That is the one I have been trying to get!!!
I am not too thrilled about paying that money to the jerk for a few sheets of paper, but just to have that pic will be worth it...FINALLY !!!!

I'm glad you are getting ur records. It never occured to me to request the records from my ectopic surgery or the m/c's. Would I have to go to the hospital to request them or my ob/gyn?

oh Shannon, you have no idea !
it is so ironic that I will be getting the picture as my 1st angelversary approaches....I only have pics from a very early u/s & u/s following the m/c, both obviously showed nothing, so yes, this one I will cherish big time!

Oh Dee that is such great news. And just in time too. I honestly believe what goes around comes around. Perhaps good things are happening for you because you are doing such good things for our hearts on Oct 10th.

thank you Sabina
I have really always felt the need to reach out to others, and help them in any way I could, even if it is just to listen....
you know how the always say, things happen for a reason? well, lately I am thinking maybe this is PART of the reason why...I don't know ~shrugs~
we are all here for a reason obviously....and we have all bonded, and shared our experiences & most personal thoughts with each other. We share something that no one can take away from us, and no one else can truly understand unless they have gone through it themselves.Sometimes a tragedy makes you stop & think...and realize what are the most important things in your life,....and you grow to be a better person from it....... it just makes you wonder.....

I'm so glad you're getting your chart... dealing with hospitals can be awful I know!
I didn't know about the candlelight vigil until now! I think that is wonderful! I will be sure to light a candle for all our angels.
