I got it on clearance at CVS, put it together myself and made the executive decision that it will be the first piece of furniture to go in the nursery, since I have nothing to hold my children's books in.

As you look at the pic, my children's books are on the top shelf, pregnancy books on the bottom. Dear One's memory box is on the left.

Then on top...

A picture that used to be in Dh's room when he was little. Then a photo of my Papa and me when I was a baby (Papa is in heaven and I like to think he is up there holding my baby), then the book "Guess how much I love you". Just because. And then I decided I wanted my ultrasound pics of Dear One out and not in the box, so I tucked them in the book so that the top two photos peek out.

Perfect.

Shannon,

I saw this on the PL Board, but I'll reply here too.....yep it is perfect !!!!!
I have a spare bedroom upstairs that I deemed "the nursery" as soon as we moved into the house!!....and have a bookshelf there with children's books from my childhood as well as others I have bought here & there....and have pics of my dad there too

I think it is a wondeful idea !

Great job on the shelf!! I'm planning on doing that too. I have a bookshelf already set up in here (this room WILL be a nursery someday!!!) with all my favorite books from childhood and I have a really sweet pic of me & my dad who passed in 2001 that will hang in here too - it's him napping on the couch with me as a baby napping on top of him.

I really like that idea!!! I was at Wal-Mart today, and saw this book called "My Pregnancy" I skimmed through it, and can't wait to fill it out and add it to my baby's book shelf (when it's time). I think having a book shelf in the baby's room means so much! So many personal titles and favourites can be added to it, and it makes it a really exciting time for you and baby at night when you want to read!

I love the box you have for Dear One, as well as the u/s pics! I never got to experience a u/s with Quinn, but I'm grateful for all the girls that got to see their Angels!

Sorry for rambling! LOL!
