i'm just eager to get this show on the road.
i would like to know:

1. how long should the bleeding last for with a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks?
2. how long will it take to ovulate again? i've read 2-4 weeks after miscarriage---is this correct?
3. how long did it take for you to start AF again?

please feel free to share your personal experiences. i know everyone is different, but every bit of information helps me in my quest to learn more.

Mine was at 14 weeks.... I bled for two weeks.

I think it depends on the person. I am not sure when I Oed after the m/c.

3. how long did it take for you to start AF again?

Four weeks exactly.


I started with a natural m/c (March 7th) when my water broke. I bled REALLY bad for two days and then it got a little lighter on day three. By day five (March 12th) the bleeding was just about gone... but I was worried. I went to the Dr and they did an u/s that showed the m/c wasn't complete. I then had a D&C.

It took me about three months to finally feel like emotionally I was healing. Now I am (im)patiently.... LOL... waiting for another BFP

my loss was at 11.5 weeks..I bled for about 4 weeks off and on.
I have no idea when I ovulated after my loss...
it took about 6 wks for af to start again .

But every woman is different and we can't always go by the "textbook"

TMI (too much info warning):


I was worried because I had not seen the baby or anything looking like the placenta and the bleeding was gone. Turned out I must have flushed the baby when my water broke and the placenta or at least part of it was still attached when they did the u/s. My cervix was still open and I was risking infection and possibly ruining my chances of ever having another baby if I didn't give in and go ahead with the D&C. I was dead set against a D&C if there was any chance my baby was still inside me. I am stubborn

1. how long should the bleeding last for with a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks? I was 5 weeks 1 day when I lost my baby, I bled for roughly a weekend. Started Friday morning, and ended by the Monday afternoon.

3. how long did it take for you to start AF again? 32 days from the day the bleeding stopped. Bleeding stopped on June 18th, I got my first AF on July 20th.

I had brownish discharge the day before my m/c, woke up the Friday morning and found blood on my panties. Had to go in to get my blood drawn for the 2nd time, but I pretty much knew the pregnancy was over. I used the bathroom several times that day and found clots, and lots of blood each time. Doctor called me on the Monday and told me that the pregnancy had ended by the time the blood was drawn. (I was 5 weeks 6 days when I miscarried) I started to lightly spot the night before, very pale pinkish red, then woke up the next morning to a gush of bright red. I bled pretty heavily that day and passed several large clots. I was very crampy, with lower back aches and shaky during the worst of it. I tried to look at the clots, but I was in so much shock, it was hard to see what I passed. The bleeding stopped that same night and I lightly spotted for a few days afterwards.

2. how long will it take to ovulate again? i've read 2-4 weeks after miscarriage---is this correct?
I ovulated 2 weeks afterwards, I was kind of surprised.

3. how long did it take for you to start AF again? Haven't started yet, I'm due on the 7th.

I had an D& C on the 19th of Sept. I was at almost 11 weeks. I stopped bleeding this past Sunday, the 30th of Sept.

My first miscarriage was a couple of years ago at 6 1/2 weeks, and it was a natural miscarriage, but I think I finished bleeding after about a week.

2. how long will it take to ovulate again? For my first miscarriage, I believe I ovulated close to 14 days later and that is when I conceived my son, who is almost 2.

3. how long did it take for you to start AF again? With my first miscarriage, I never had AF, I am still waiting to see what happens with this one... Good luck to you too. I have my Dr.'s follow-up today, and I plan on asking her how important it will be to wait to TTC. We are ready to keep trying.

1. I was roughly 7.5-8wks and had a D&C, I only bled 2days, never any spotting.
2. I'm not sure if I've ovulated since my D&C but my OPK test showed that I did around 2.5wks post surgery....
3. still waiting, I'm on day 46 and still no AF Dr. won't seem me unless I don't start after another 2 weeks from now.
