shouldn't the doctors be worried? I know I am.

It all started Sept. 20th. I went to the doc and found out I was PG. We had been trying for over a year, we were really excited.
I had been cramping all month before that. The doc said that was normal. Then, on Sept.24 the cramping got worse. The next morning...well..I don't think I need to say it. By the 28th, which was my 40th bday, I was so sick I thought I was going to die.
I went back to the doc and found out that I had a really bad infection going on. He put me on antibiotics and gave me a form to go and have an u/s. I phoned bookings and they said that Oct.24th is the earliest I can get in. Called the ob/gyn and the earliest I can get in there is Nov. 28th !! The doc I saw said that I might need a d&c. He said that if I start to get the chills and start to feel worse then that means that I should go in right away. He thinks the baby is still in there. Shouldn't these ppl try to get me in earlier ? Isn't this going to make it worse and harder to conceive later ? I think they are ruining my chances ! It's bad enough being 40....ugh. Is this normal for them to make women wait? I've had 3 miscarriages before this, but none this bad.

go to the er. they shouldnt make u wait that LONG for an u/s... with my dd- my first appointment was at 12 weeks and they couldnt find a hb so thet sent me immediatley to the hospital to get u/s done.

hugs have u gotten tested because of the reoccuring mc?

That is pretty unbelievable they are waiting so long and not showing a sense of urgency.

I agree, go to the ER.

Thanx for the sympathy and advice. I haven't had any testing done yet as they don't seem to think there is a problem...yet. When we go to the ob/gyn I'm going to tell her that I'm not leaving unless she does some sort of testing first. I had a laproscopy done about 13 years ago though....it showed that my appendix was wrapped around everything..it was literally choking my my uterus and tubes....yes, my appendix is abnormally long...8 inches to be exact ! I'm a freak of nature lol. ( a normal one is about the length of your pinkie and the same width )They didn't take it out because the colour was good....they just unwrapped it from around things...so they said. They also found that everything was out of place. My uterus is up and to the left, my ovaries are way to the right....the left one is under bellybutton...I'm really weird lol
I'm hoping that they'll take that appendix out and pickle it so I can put it on Ripley's or the Guiness book lol
Well, after reading this,hubby says we're off to the hospital right now. He's freaking out. thanx ladies = )

I agree to go to the ER, making you wait over a month is just plain rude!

My 1st thought was to go to the ER. They should certainly do an u/s.

I would be going to the ER and then finding a new Doctor as soon as possible.

I def agree and would go to the ER, I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy and when i finally got pregnant a year and a half later they schduled a ultra sound like 2 days later. Thats def too long to wait in my opinion. Good luck!!!!
