i keep reading about those who have miscarried passed gray tissue.
i didn't have any gray tissue. i was 7.5 weeks along. i had a lot of blood with large clots and the sac with the embryo in it.
nothing gray, though. am i supposed to pass gray stuff?

I think it varies with everyone. I myself did not pass any gray tissue.

Everyone is different. i personally didnt have grey tissue. but i also had a d&c after i gave birth to my children.

I don't think I had anything gray. It all looked pink or red to me. I'm pretty sure I passed everything because they did an ultrasound afterwards.

I don't even think I saw a sac. But I didn't really know what anything is supposed to look like either.

I was 14 weeks.... I used a strainer on the toilet.


I only had one "piece" of something that was grey. And I have no idea what the heck it was. It was after two days of heavy bleeding and HUGE clots...Like grapefruits. It was about four inches long and two inches wide. I almost took a pic of it(EWWW) I figured it was part of the placenta. I had horrible contractions for about half an hour before it "passed". They felt like the contractions I had before my water broke. Other than that I only saw bright red blood and purple clots. My biggest clot was the size of a cantalope (sp?) I actually was fasicnated by that one. It was huge. That was the only grey I saw.

same...lots of blood, lots of big nastay clots that were dark red/purple. no grey anything.


Bobbie...OMG that is awful. I think I would have been fascinated by it too though (I'm a science nerd and all of these sorts of things make me wonder)

I had gray tissue around 3-4 days after methotrexate injections. It was awful
