I've been trying to find the right time to schedule my appt to get my tattoo and now finally I am going. I get it on Thursday at 1pm MST. Mysister is going with me for support as she has had tattoos before and I just want someone there who has had it done and can be there for support not only for getting the tattoo but emotionally as well. I will post a pict for you gals once I get it done.

COURTNEY!!! I'm so excited for you!!! Getting my tattoo really helped me deal with my loss....I don't know if you have any other tattoos (this was my first) but it really is a "mind over matter" type of thing...the more meaningful the tattoo is, the less it hurts. My tattoo is on my rib cage it didn't hurt at all....<3

some advice for Hanging In There:

I don't know if this really helped or not but when I got mine done, the tattoo guy said since mine was going to take a few hours (I don't know how big yours is going to be...) that I would use up all my endorphins/sugars/etc. He actually gave me Gatorade to drink and had cookies there.

Like I said, it may be a bunch of BS but it seemed to help. I only had trouble when it came close to the bone.

THAT'S GREAT ADVICE!!! I totally forgot about that....Courtney make sure to eat a snickers and drink a soda before you go I didn't eat anything before mine and by the end (2 hours) I was shaking....but as soon as I ate I felt better

Yeah! I am so excited for you! I have already shared my tattoo photo but I just wanted to tell you the pain of getting your tattoo doesn't even come close to the pain you felt losing your baby. Don't even worry about it. You will do fine.

Courtney, how exciting!!!! I have 2 tattoo's and like what was already said, eat or drink something before (but not like right before, in case you get nerves you don't want to feel sick....) and keep something close by during, in case of the same thing.

It really isn't bad! And the end result is soooo worth it!!! Can't wait to see it!! GL!
