Hi everyone. M/C was just confirmed today via blood test (however I had been pretty sure for the last few days). It was early, only about 5 1/2 weeks along.

I have long cycles, and when I ttc the first time I did not O so the dr gave me clomid... and I conceived my son. Now that we are trying for another one, I am actually having my own cycles. They are long cycles, I don't O until around cd 30. My luteal phase is 14 days, and my post O temps are fairly high, so I wouldn't think I have a progesterone deficiency... but the doctor suggested today that I try clomid to conceive and see if it prevents another m/c? Does anyone know how/why this would work?

Also, dr said to wait a cycle before trying again? Anyone have any input about that? I really want to try again this month because I can focus on moving on and maybe it will stop me from feeling so empty like I do right now.

Thanks everyone!!

I have never been on Clomid. It sounds like your doc knows what he is doing though. Most do say to wait at least one cycle. Some say to wait three months.

That "empty" feeling has got to be the worst feeling I have ever experienced. It does get a little easier as time goes by. I hope you get a BFP soon.

Lots of to you.... I hope the next month goes by fast.
