My progesterone was tested during my pregnancy and was too low. I asked to take supplements and I took them until the u/s showed no more heartbeat. Now I dunno if the progesterone was just low because it was a failed pregnancy or if my progesterone is just too low all the time.

My luteal phase does tend to be 11-12 days and once it was only 9 days. So I think it's possible my progesterone is too low.

My doctor said I could take the progesterone supplements next time right after I got a BFP. I asked her if I could start taking them right after ovulation (in case of pregnancy) and she said I could.

I asked her about it again today when I had my hcg drawn and she said I should start them about 5 days after I ovulate. I asked her if we could check my progesterone again and she said they normally don't do that. She said if I had recurrent losses they would do a biopsy of my uterine lining, but she didn't feel it was necessary.

What do you think of this plan? Has anyone else been on progesterone because theirs was low?

I feel like it won't hurt and it might help. It's a natural progesterone cream called Prochieve.

I don't know much about it but....

They check mine each month after I O. So far so good.... I guess. First one was 10.2 second month was 9.2. Sounds low to me, but my doc said it was okay. The nurse said it was boderline. She said they like to see then 11-15. I am kinda suprised they won't check yours each month. Maybe call and ask again? I love my doc but I think somtimes he is more proactive than at other visits.

Shannon,

I don't think it would hurt at all....I posted some info about the creams here recently. I like the fact that there are no side effects, because it is natural.
I have a feeling that was my problem also. As soon as I get all of my charts,I'll finally know for sure....
and if it is low....you girls think I am a poas addict...wait til I start rubbing cream all over!
