Well....

I had that test done today. Good news is both tubes are open It didn't hurt nearly as bad as the "saline ultrasound". I was worried for nothing But I am glad it's over.

I just have one problem..... I am supposed to have a Polyp that they scheduled a D&C for on Oct. 10th. They didn't see a polyp today at all. I am trying to decide if I should cancel the D&C? When I went in last week for my pre-op apt. My doctor wrote a ? next to polyp as reason for the surgery. I really have a feeling they are not 100% sure this even existed.

What would you do? My gut feeling says to cancel it.

I really want to be able to TTC this month. My temps are nice and steady for once. I think I am going to O early...and they say you have better chances of conceiving after a HSG.

Any advice?

Personally, I don't think I'd want to go through a D&C if they aren't even sure anything is there.
Is there any way they could check again?

I wouldn't go through with it, especially if they aren't 100% about it. I think you should cancel it, and TTC this month!

I believe that we often have better instincts of our body than a doctor does at times....
Do what you feel is right for you (whisper,...cancel it...)

Glad the HSG went well!!
I'd say cancel the D&C if they are sure they didn't see one. When I had my HSG, neither my dr nor the radiologist said anything about the possibility of polyps, but when he did the diagnostic surgery a month later, he found 2 polyps and removed them.
But then when I showed the xray of my HSG to the RE this week, right away he saw something indicating polyps or scar tissue, which he wanted removed before the IVF (which of course was no problem as they had already been removed a couple weeks ago! )
