Hello Everyone,

I had a miscarriage this summer and ended up getting a D&C on August 10th. The docs said I would get my period anywhere from 6-8 weeks after the procedure. I am now past 8 weeks and haven't gotten my period yet. Is this normal? Should I be concerned. I took a pregnancy test the other day and it was negative. My doc said we could start trying again whenever we wanted to. I want to get at least once cylce under my belt before we gear up for round 2. Just wondering how long it's going to take...

Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Thanks!!!

I have not had this experience, hon, sorry.

BUT I have gone several months w/o having my period w/o being preg. The doctor may be able to prescribe you something (progesterone, maybe?) to induce your period. I had been on the birth control pill for too long, and the pill makes your body think it is preg. So when I went off of it, my body just didn't "kick back into gear" like it should. The progesterone worked for me, I got my period, and then normal cycles took off after that. Maybe ask your DR? Sorry I couldn't be much more help.
