Sorry if this has been posted before. But I was just wondering, how long did you wait to dtd after you experienced your loss? I have recently experienced my first loss and my OB recommended 3-4 weeks, but I was just wondering what your experiences were?

they do recommend waiting a few weeks so you do not get an infection...
I waited because I had bleeding & spotting for awhile.... it was about 4 weeks for me, give or take...
but everyone is different

I had a D & C but only bleed for 2 days post op. I waited 12 days,.....2 days shy of my 2 week appt.

we waited about 3 weeks.. but that was also cause of spotting as well

I'm gonna have to call my doc. He didn't mention anything about holding off and he knew we were going to be trying to get pregnant again. I have been feeling strange down there... I wonder if I have an infection. UGH. I can't believe he didn't say anything. We dtd 4 days post m/c and have continued off and on...

My DR said we could BD again when I was ready to. Since I had a natural misscarriage and they didn't have to dialate me, I had a much less risk of getting an infection. I misscarried on the Monday and I'm pretty sure we dtd on the following Friday. Basically I needed the closeness, and then for some reason I couldn't get enough! LMAO!

My doc told me to wait two weeks. I waited two days.... They really say to wait cause it could cause an infection. I was lucky and nothing happened.... but I know I should have waited.... I just couldn't.

I know they tell you to wait but I too was the same as many here. I needed the closeness and it was only 2 days for me as well.

3 weeks. About 2 weeks after all the bleeding stopped.

My doctor didn't give me a guideline as to when I could DTD, she just said to wait a cycle for TTC.

we dtd one week after a natural m/c. i saw the doc that morning and he said it was fine.
