I would like to introduce myself and say hello to all you wonderful people here. I have been a lurker here for quite some time and have decided to post my problem. I had a chemical pregnancy in Febuary and my re told me because my loss was early I would not need a d&c. 8 months on I am still having a lot of clotting sorry (tmi) and this is with every af. I have been for ultrasounds and they have showed up nothing. I have arranged to get a second opinion and have an appointment this Monday as I feel there is someting very wrong. I had never had this clotting before my mc in Febuary. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as I just don't know what to do. Thanks for letting me share my experience with you girls

Hi Hon

I am sorry for your loss

I too have horrible clotting issues. There isn't a whole heck of a lot they can do for this besides BC pills and who wants to be on them when you are TTC...right?

My doc says mine *may* be caused by a Polyp. They found the Polyp when they did a transvaginal U/S. Then they did an U/S where they inject saline through the cervix to get a better picture of what's going on. I have to have a D&C to remove the Polyp tomorrow.

Just wanted you to know you aren't the only one here with darn...stinkin... clotting problems

Keep bugging your doctor until they figure out why you are clotting. I really don't think clotting is *normal* if it's bad.

to you.

Thanks Bobbie for your reply. I had a polyp removed from my cervix in October last year and within 3 months I was pregnant. Since the mc I have not been able to get pregnant again. I have my suspicions that I may have polys in the uterus. I am going to ask my new re if he will do a hysteroscopy to see whats going on and hopefully he will do a d&c at the same time. I will find out Monday

i have had a lot of clotting with AF starting in December of 2006. i haven't started AF since the m/c with my first pg, but that happend on 10/1. but, i think the clotting is just due to my cycle changing. i've noticed that since i started AF when i was 11 years old, the PMS/cycle symptoms have changed throughout the years. maybe it's possible that it's just your body changing?
i hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Hi MindB, I am so sorry for your loss. It is so frustrating as my periods were completely normal up until my mc in Febuary. I had never had any clotting, which is really bad now, that makes me a bit suspicious. You could be right as that's what my re said. I'll feel more at ease if they will have a look and see that everthing is okay there.
