I had a D&C on September 19 (23 days ago). Today I went to the Dollar Store to load up on ovulation and pregnancy tests. I just did an ovulation test, and the results say I have an Lh surge right now. The test line was so much darker than the control line. Then just for the heck of it, I took a pregnancy test--now we have only dtd once since the 19th, and I think it was this past Friday night (it is terrible that I don't remember), so there is no way I am pregnant.

Do you think it is possible that I still have preggo hormones in me even though it was so long ago that I was pregnant? And what do you make of the Lh surge indicator?

I am waiting for a call back from the nurse at my OB, to see if she can explain it... this is what I get for POAS so early I suppose, but when you have a handful and they only cost a dollar, it is hard to resist.

It would be too early for a + pg test for a new pregnancy.

I found that both HPT's and the OPK's I took shortly after my D&C showed + for about the same time (meaning the HPT's came up + for 2wks and 4days and so did the OPK's roughly)....surely your dr. will be able to answer your questions!

I am sorry for your loss

GL and I hope you get your BFP soon!!

You probably still have HCG in your body It seems to be normal around here to see a BFP for up to a month. Mine was negative after two weeks I think. I can't really remember.

They *say* you can use OPK's as HPT's sometimes. (Go to peeonastick.com to see the technical reason) The hormones go hand in hand in pregnancy. OPK's don't work well for very early HPT testing though.

I hope you get a BFN soon so you can see another BFP.....

to you.
