I ordered them online at Wal-Mart and went into the store to pick them up. They gave me HELL and almost refused to give me them. They said they look *too professional*. I told the girl... well that's a nice complement.... but THEY ARE MINE... She insisted I needed a signed something or another. I insisted that I didn't cause I took them. She kept arguing with me and then called her manager over. After arguing with her she said I needed to sign something and then I could have them.
I am so upset I was shaking trying to sign the darn thing. I could see if I was doing something wrong, but they are all pics taken by only me. I could just order them online from Fotki.com but it takes so long to get them sometimes. I really wanted an 1hour this week. I am off from work and have been playing with some of the pics I had stored on my computer.
I should just be happy that they turned out great but I don't like being made to feel like I am doing something wrong
Thanks for letting me vent

Well they suck!!!! I emailed them pics back in September when my aunt was visiting from Newfoundland, she wanted copies of certain wedding pics I had. Well, I emailed them to the Wal Mart in my aunt's town and since she wouldn't have gotten there in a few days, we figured it would be okay. Well, nope! I even got the email confirmation SHOWING me which pictures were requested! When my aunt went to pick them up, they had no clue what she was talking about!! Low and behold, they called her LAST WEEK and told her that her pictures were ready!
I can't believe they did that to you!!! I would be soooooo mad!!!!!

Okay I calmed down. Glad to hear it isn't only me that has had problems.
Funny thing is my brother works for Fuji and is one of the tech supports for the area Wal-Marts. I should have just called him when they started giving me a hassle. He would have shut them right up.
I did put a call in to the store manager so I can vent to him. I spent $85 on pics in two days and don't really appreciate being talked to the way those two talked to me today.
I just hope he actually calls me back

I haven't ever gotten pics developed at Wal Mart. Why can't you develop them if they look professional? do they think you've stolen them from some other webpage or something?

Bobbie,
ok, first, your pictures are amazing !!!! I don't know how you put your name on the orders, but you may want to come up with a "studio name" that incorporates your name in it. Thats what I do with my stuff now, when I need pics from the dvd's I make for people..and when I print my stuff...they thought it was pro stuff too.
I worked at a REAL professional Lab for 11 yrs...so the first time I took my stuff to Walmart & they hassled me, about possible copryright infringement, you bet I went OFF on them. Depending on the sizes you want, it is easier to avoid a hassle and just load them at the store on the automatic machine that just spits them out for you then none of the "photokids" at the counter see them. Also, seriously, I can put you in touch with the lab I worked for & still get some work from (My mom runs the office there also) and I know we could get you a deal on some stuff.....they now do online ordering.

Yeah I guess so and then they could get sued if the pics were stolen and printed there.
Dee... Thanks <blushing> I guess I should figure out how to put a name on them. I just never thought I would have a problem. I would love the name of the lab. I usually order prints from Fotki.com. It's been years since I used Wal-Mart. I just wasn't in a very patient mood this week. Must be the POAS withdrawl

Mindy... thanks! I am kinda into it. I just don't do it for money yet Just for fun! My son bought me a tripod for my B-day and Dave got me a bounce flash. I LOVE the flash... the pics are so much better with that vs. the flash on the camera. So I have been playing more than normal
