What do you think about getting the flu shot while TTC? I work part time at a hospital. I don't work with patients but I'm in close contact with plenty of co-workers.

I just don't think it's a good idea to be putting mercury into my body before I get pregnant. But then I do worry about getting the flu.

I called my OBGYN and the health people at work to ask if either knew where I could get a thimerosol free version but neither knew where I could get one. I knew that would be a long shot anyway because they are supposed to be for pregnant women and I'm not pregnant.

I really don't know about that one.....but I think I would be leary too about getting that shot...

I don't think I would risk it. But I HATE needles.... so I would never get one anyways.

My OB told me to get one so I thought it was safe while ttc'ing. It is risky to not be protected if you work in a hospital/doc's office.
