Ok so I'm trying to do the temping/charting thing this time around. I can't remember who I have told this to but last week the thermometer fell off the shelf and broke! So, there are 3 or 4 days in there that don't have temps. I'm just using my regular digital thermometer as well simply for this month, then will probably cave and get the BBT next month.

Anyway, my temps for the past three days have been EXACTLY the same. 98.2 each day. I'm 8DPO today. Wouldn't it seem like they would start going up if I were pg? Or am I in a holding pattern until the temps dive and AF comes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don't really understand the whole charting thing!

I don't think they necessarily have to keep going up each day. As long as they are staying high, above your coverline, that is good and you've got a chance!

ha ok I finally tried to put a fertility friend link on my signature. Does it work? You can see I missed a few temps here and there (not to mention when the thermometer broke!). If I go with how everyone else's charts look with the temp spike then I think I ovulated some time around the 19th or 20th. I swear I felt ovulation pains though on the 17th & 18th. Hopefully it was then b/c I couldn't get DH in the mood for anything on the 19th & 20th! We did manage to BD on the 21st though. I dunno, I'm thinking we totally missed our chance this month

edit: oh and my cycles are normally 26 days, not 20 days like it says on there. I don't know what in the world happened last month.

edit: i added other cycles and that made it back to 26 days. woohoo!

sorry all...one more question!!

so I woke up this morning with my alarm and temped as usual. My temp went down a little bit from 98.2 to 98.1. I fell back asleep. Woke up about an hour later and thought I'd temp again just to see what variations you could expect if you woke up late, etc. My temp was 98.3.

Why does it vary that much? I didn't get up or anything, just went right back to sleep.

It is normal for your temp to be different all day long. I took mine today and it was 96.9 an hour and a half later it was 97.7. So it's totally normal. Once your body wakes up your temp starts going up.

They key to charting is first get your self a BBT as soon as possible. A regular thermometer just doesn't cut it for charting. They just aren't sensitive enough to get a true reading. I can see a shift in your chart though with the regular thermometer and it looks good

I can't wait to be able to stalk you now too! and
