I've posted a couple times on here and the WTTC boards. I had a miscarriage Oct. 17. Just wondering how long you waited to DTD after miscarriage (D&C) and how long you waited to start TTC? I've been told different things by different doctors....anywhere from a couple weeks to three months.
If you were WTTC what form of bc did you use?

Erika,
I DTD two days after my m/c. My doctor told me to wait two weeks, but I couldn't
We started trying right away too. The doc said to wait until AF showed up for the first time to try. I couldn't wait for that either. I have yet to get PG and I am on cycle 9 since the m/c.
Most docs tell you to wait to DTD and 1-3 months to TTC. I guess it depends on the doctor and the type of m/c.
Hope it helps
Bobbie

Thanks ladies.
I was told to wait two weeks to DTD. We're on day 11 and we're both getting a little restless. I'm just afraid it'll hurt. I've been through worse, huh?
I want to start TTC right now but I mentioned in another post I don't want to be very far along in the summer. I can't handle heat!
Thanks again.

We waited 2-3 weeks to DTD. It only happened once before AF came and we were going to use pull and pray, but ended up using no protection.
We were told to wait 1 cycle for TTC.

I started to m/c on October 17th; it was a natural one. My hcg levels were at zero by the following Wednesday. Dr. told me to wait a couple of cycles because of a higher chance of m/c again...I'm waiting for AF, the first since the m/c, but we will TTC starting the second cycle in December. We have not dtd yet...I'm thinking of making DH save up

Erika,
we waited a long to time to dtd, I had an infection after the m/c and the bleeding seemed to go on forever.....
Last year,my dr. said we could try again as soon as we were ready to...well we weren't ready until a few months ago....

When I went to the Dr. yesterday, she said my urine still tested positive for hcg. Made me very sad for some reason. Like I'm still pregnant. Anyhow, how long does that take to go away? I want it to go away so I can have a period and get this show on the road!
***Making him "save up" good idea, HAHA***

Honestly, I don't remember with the m/c how long we waited to DTD, but we started trying as soon as I had one "normal" cycle. After the ectopic we waited 4 weeks because I had surgery after my tube ruptured. So I'm not much help for this topic, sorry!
