Hi Ladies, just curious what your AF experience was like after your D&C.

Did you ovulate?
How long did it take to come?
How far along were you? (Just trying to see if there is a correlation between how far along and wait time for 1st AF)
Were you back on track after the 1st AF or did it take several cycles to get back to normal?
Do you know how long HCG was in your system? (I'm still testing positive 3 weeks after D&C...ugh!!)

I am just trying to get an idea on what to expect.

Victoria, I am so sorry for your loss {{{{hugs}}}

I was around 8 wks (although we didn't know it passed till my 12 wk u/s, it was a missed miscarriage). My next a/f after the D&C was almost exactly 6wks. Between the D&C and a/f I had no break through bleeding or cramping, felt normal (except anxious for a/f to get here!).

I know some ladies get a/f 4wks after and some much later, like 8wks. Every body is different. I hope she visits you soon and then moves on and stays away 9 months (if TTC is your continued plan).

i want more ppl to answer this Q... i am also wondering if your body waits for it to stop reading positive for HPTs because last i checked i was still a positive...

and i am still waiting to stop bleeding after my d&c which was last friday.. so not quite a week... but i am SO ready to be done bleeding and start waiting for my AF.

I had my D&C on September 19th, 2007 and I was 14 weeks pregnant. I bled for a total of 21 days (last five days were spotting). I started temping again on CD35 (wish I would have started sooner) and I think I may have *finally* ovulated 5 days ago, but I'm waiting for FF to give me CHs. I am currently on CD50, so as of yesterday, it has been 7 weeks since my D&C and still no AF or *confirmed* O (I need to O first before AF can come). As for the hCG, my OBGYN had me go in weekly to have blood drawn and I was told to remain on pelvic rest until my levels reached "zero". I finally tested negative when I went for my follow-up appointment on October 22nd, so it seems to have taken about a month to completely leave my system. I suppose that could be a reason why it's taking so long for me to O and then finally have AF show up. My doctor gave us the all-clear to start TTC again after 1 cycle, so as soon as AF comes and goes, we'll be trying again. I hope my cycles will be normal after this one as I didn't seem to have any problems with cycle length or Oing in the past *knock on wood*.

I don't think I'll be much help answering your questions, but eventually...
I had a m/c D&C Oct 17, I was approx 13 weeks, had spotting for about 10 days after. Went to the Doctor a million times and finally on Sat. Nov. 3 my hcg levels were 0. I am anxiously awaiting AF but since the hcg just went down I don't expect it for a couple more weeks. I have no cramps or anything. I will update you when it happens. Hopefully soon! Hope you get your answers.

oh man! that is depressing! i am so ready to get this show on the ROAD.. and i am still bleeding from the D&C... dang it.. i hope it doesnt take forever for my period to come back!!!!

Maybe I can ask "Cheri" when my stupid AF is gonna show?? Seriously, I know it has only been a few weeks, but there is NO sign of O, and I always know WAY in advance. Either I am not going to O(please!!), or AF is gonna be at least another 3 weeks or so.

Did you ovulate? I am not sure but I really don't think so.
How long did it take to come? 4 weeks to the day after my D&C
How far along were you? I was 14 weeks. I started with a natural m/c when my water broke and ended up with a D&C 5 days later because my body wasn't completing the m/c on it's own.
Were you back on track after the 1st AF or did it take several cycles to get back to normal? The first one was light but normal length. The second was was heavy and the third one was light... now it's been 9 cycles and I am back to normal.
Do you know how long HCG was in your system? I seem to remember seeing a + turn to a negative about 2 weeks after my D&C

I don't know if I ovulated after either of my losses. With the last miscarriage it was 28 days until I got my period (I don't remember about when after the first miscarriage). I was 10 weeks with the last one and 8 weeks with the first one. I had HGB in my system at least 3 weeks (At 3 weeks I had blood drawn and it was a 14). I'm not sure if I am back to normal yet but I believed I ovulated this cycle which is my first since the misscarriage. Hope this helps!
