Who is waiting for their first AF?

Hi Ladies, I was just curious who is waiting for their first AF to show up after mc. My D&C was on 10/16, but I don't think AF is gonna be here for another 2-3 weeks since as of Tuesday, I still was testing positive and definitely no signs of O yet.

I will be waiting until I figure out what is wrong with me or 2 cycles, whichever comes later. DH and I just went in for bloodwork, and will see the doc for the results in a couple weeks.

How about you, what is your situation and plans?

Hi There!
I lost our baby on Oct 1st and just started AF a couple days ago. It was harder than I thought it would be.... Dh and I are going to wait until the end of December (or January if I can wait that long...lol...) to start TTC so we don't have conflicting birthdays with our little ones. If it wouldn't have been for that, I probably would have started TTC right away, but I'm impatient like that!

I had a D&C on Oct. 17. I have no idea when I will get AF. I've been really emotional lately and have had lower back pain but I've been cleaning alot, so it could be from that.

Our pregnancy was an "oops" and we both want to TTC right away but we're both REALLY scared of going through that again. I have a feeling we'll just see what happens and hopefully we'll have an oops in a couple months. My doctor did write me a prescription for the Yaz bcp. I don't know if I'll start that when I get AF. We need to really talk seriously about what we want. I know I want a baby!!! But I'm so scared.

Also, when I had the m/c everyone told me it's very normal and there's nothing I did wrong, etc....but I can't help but wonder what happened. I just don't get it. Did your doctors tell you anything else, is there anything I should be tested for before we try again? I'm so confused!

I went through a chemical prengnacy on Oct 25 and am still bleeding. I am not sure how long the bleeding is supposed to last????? But...it started to go away about a week ago and DH and I DTD. Today it came ack full force as if AF is here again. I am sooo confused!!!!! I am so sorry about ur loss...my thoughts are with u.

Me!! I'm waiting on my first AF. According to my fertility monitor, I o'ed around November 6th. If AF is on track, I'm looking around November 20th for her to arrive (fingers crossed).

We are looking to start TTC on the second cycle, in December.

Emma - I am impatient too. This wait is going to KILL me!! I really want to try sooner, but know I shouldn't. I just keep reminding myself that it is not a race and in God's time. Not sure if that helps much, but if I say it enough times, maybe....right?! Anyhow, glad to hear you are over hurdle #1. Let's see, so if you are waiting until Dec/Jan, that means you are waiting 2 or 3 cycles too. I am in good company! Too bad I am still waiting on stupid AF witch....

Erika - I am so sorry, I know it sucks not knowing what happened. I have been through 2 now back to back and no idea on either! It just eats at you..... Was this your first pg? (It was my #1 and #2) If I had to do it over, I would ask for some basic testing. They take some blood, run some tests, and you get the answers in a few weeks. I just had the bloodwork done, they tested me for chromosomal abnormalities, blood clotting disorders and immune disorder. Do you take your temps? If you take your temps, you know when you O, then you can determine if you have a luteal phase defect. PM if you want more info., it is a lot to throw at somebody....

Michele - Oh gosh, I am sorry, I don't really know. I heard the bleeding can go on for 2-3 weeks. I know every woman/every mc is different. Perhaps there was some residual tissue still trying to make its way out and DTD helped move it along? My T&P's are with you too though and I hope it all clears up very soon.

Readyat39 - oooo, I hope she is on track for you!! It's funny, as soon as I posted this last night, I noticed some sticky cm (sorry if TMI). That means O is finally on it's way, and AF will be right behind! Yay!! Hopefully my tests get all done by the time #2 rolls around and we won't be that far apart....

I had a miscarriage on August 8th and didn't get AF until November 2nd, and that was after finally going to the doc to get some prometrium.

Hi! i havnet introduced myself on this board yet... But i want to be invluded on this Q!!!

I am waiting for that darned AF to come again! I m/ced on the 23rd of oct..followed by a d&c on Nov 2nd... i JUST stopped bleeding yesterday... NO idea when to expect to ovulate.. (i am gonna post a Q about that!) or when to expect my first AF.. but we're gonna start trying after it shows up! maybe december??

I had a D&C scheduled for 11/2, but began bleeding the night before and so opted for a natural m/c. I m/c during the evening of 11/2. I went back for bloodwork one week later (11/9) and just got those results yesterday. My quantity is at 56. I guess I need to wait until it is under 5.0. I have more bloodwork scheduled on 11/26. I bled from 11/1 to 11/10 (which I guess is pretty short) and am now waiting for my first AF. After AF, we will begin TTC right away.

I too am waiting for the first AF I m/c 10/15 and started having cramps today which is 29 days since. I've had some PMS symptoms and feel like AF could show any day now. I usually don't have cramps with AF until after I start bleeding but I've heard this first one could be a doozy.

Hi my name is Christal and I havent joined this board yet but will be soon. I found out I was miscarrying on oct 21 and ended up having to have a D&C on nov 7. I will be TTC as soon as I have my first cycle. I am still bleeding a little from the D&C so I know I probally have a while to wait. I hate waiting I want to start now lol.

I'm waiting! I had my d&c on October 17th and I've been feeling pretty bloated and crabby, so I'm thinking AF will come soon. We won't ttc the first cycle tho, b/c the dates don't work for us (unless my 1st AF doesn't come for another month lol) but definitely after the 2nd cycle! I'm so impatient and want to try right now, but am trying to restrain myself lol.

Brynne - Oh no! That does not sound like a fun wait....so sorry to hear that. Well, I am glad she finally made her visit. Are you TTC this cycle?

Em - So happy to hear the bleeding stopped. Do you chart or do anything like that?

Sacha - You are quickly on your way if your HCG is alredy down to 56, that is great! I have been watching my HCG through HPT's, and they JUST turned negative - a FULL 4 weeks after my D&C. But O is already on the way, so I am happy about that!

Priddy - Yes, I hear it can be very heavy or very light and just.....well, odd. Hope your cramping is not too bad and AF comes and goes quickly for you.

Christal - I am right there with ya! I am such an impatient person..... I try to keep myself busy so I won't think about it so much..lol....Hey, when are you introducing yourself over here btw?

Kim - ditto what I just said...I hope she is on her way, the wait is awful, isn't it?!

I'm still waiting. Found out we lost the boys September 18th (I was 14 weeks pregnant), had an emergency D&C September 19th, I bled for 21 days, finally tested negative for hCG on October 22nd, no signs of O yet that I can see as my temps are too low to be post-O (I'm kicking myself in the butt for not temping sooner) and I'm waiting as patiently as possible for AF to show. I had four days of spotting (a couple of the days were heavy spotting) and though AF was on her way, but that stopped. I don't know what to think. I'm waiting until I'm 30 days past the day I tested negative for hCG and if AF still hasn't come, I'll more than likely make an appointment with my doc to see if she can figure out what's going on.

Thanks for the encouragement! This is all pretty new to me, so I just started researching details of expected HCG levels and such. I never expected to learn so much. I used to be blissfully unaware of all of the details of conception, pregnancy, miscarriage and the like. I know that when it finally happens for me and I get to particpate in the WHOLE process I will be so much more greatful for the beautiful miracle of life! I just don't know how much longer I can wait.

I use to post on this board and will be back once we start TTC again. We lost our baby on 10/2/07 due to an ectopic pregnancy. I am currently on CD 44 and waiting for AF. It took me to CD 43 to get it back with my natural m/c in May 2007. So I should be getting it soon, I hope.

We are going to start TTC once I get AF back. No time like the present! My body is healed and my heart is in God's hands. I know He wont gie us anything more than we can handle.
