I noticed that whenever I DTD with hubby whether I am ovulating or not my mind is someplace else while we DTD. I mean, I always get into it but my mind keeps going to having babies and wondering if this time I'll get pregnant and "concentrating" on making a baby. I wonder if dh picks up on this. I can be a bit obsessive. Anyone else have this mind wandering prob?

I'm going to be completely honest here and say.....no. My mind doesn't wander. After my m/c it did though!! Now, it doesn't. All I can think about during the whole sex act...is....well....sex.

I'm sure it's common though! I have baby dreams allllll the time even though I know right now we're waiting to try for one.

my mind has wandered for a second, but i always steer it back to the matter at hand. i can see how easy it could be to let your mind wander. it's hard to be thinking about getting pregnant and having babies--then think about sex--you have to go through that act to get what you want, which is pregnancy. who can think about babies AND sex at the same time? it's either one or the other. i guess that's why there are so many unplanned pregnancies.
let's face it--we know WHY we're DTD at this point in our lives--it's to make the baby---BUT---we have to realize that when when the pregnancy occurs, it's the BODY that does it, not the MIND. try to get your mind off of babies and pregnancy while DTD and focus on DH. make it fun!

haha! I think its so true! its hard when you are on your OD and you feel like you HAVE to do it or else!! for me...since i dont seem to be super fertile! (it seems to take a few months) I always end up getting pregnant on the month I have decided it doesnt matter if i do or i dont...and we just have fun crazy sex!!! The other months... my mind does wonder a bit..but i think its just because im feeling like i have to to make a baby... KWIM!!!

enough of that! i dont want to think about bad sex! i just FINALLY got of my pelvic rest! and we are having FUN great NOT baby making sex!!!

My mind definitely wanders when we're ttc. I get a little obsessed with the whole thing too. Luckily I seem to get pg on the 1st try, so dh doesn't have to deal with my obsessing too long.
