hi ladies
wondering if anyone has any advice to share...
i found out i had a blighted ovum a few weeks back at what shld have been my 12 week scan - very sad! Anyway, when i track it back, i wld have conceived on CD42 that cycle (periods are typically ALL over the shop, and that cycle was unfortunately particularly long)... my question is this - could the late, late ovulation have meant that the egg was dodgy to start with? I've read various things online that say yes, late ovulation can compromise egg quality, and then other things which say it doesn't? I'd be interested to find out more - CD42 was particularly late for me to ovulate, but still, it's usually around CD25-30 - which is still late? Is this something which i shld be concerned about/have investigated going forward? What do you think? Any thoughts?
thanks girls

So sorry for your loss. Hugs!!

The only thing I have read on this said that your brain releases some sort of chemical between CD11 and CD16 (I think those are the days), and that it makes the egg better suited to divide properly. So, if you ovulate between CD11 and CD16, it is exposed to this chemical making it more suitable for a healthy pregnancy. I think it is an opinion that has not been widely accepted or we would hear about it more, right?? I don't know, I never know who to believe, this doctor or that doctor??

If you talk to your doc about it, will you please let us know what they say? Ever since I read that, I have been curious if there is any truth to it or if it just a bunch of hooey.
