I was soo sure that it was over,....from what I was "passing" and the blood, and lack of symptoms....I may be nervous/anxious and a worrier but I am not one to TOTALLY freak out, bawling, and make an emergency visit to the doctor. I hate feeling like an inconvenience at all cost. This was very real......
So the Dr. does an exam, cervix is closed (whew) but there is a lot of blood and "by product". He sends me to the ultra sound tech. She is quiet for what seemed an eternity. I can see the screen in front of me and recognize the gestational sac...but I don't see anything else. She is still quiet but then stops smiles and says "ahhh, I see what I am looking for now". She freezes the frame and shows with the cursor the yolk sac (second, Whew) and then begins to slowly move the wand around, stops again, measures and then types "BABY". She uses the cursor again to point out the "flutter" of a heatbeat and lets me know that I, by her account, am 5Wks and 5Days pregnant, with all the pieces she would expect to see at this point.

I again start to sob, because I was so overwhelmed. She was the best u/s tech I have ever met! She assured me that yes, as of today there is a baby trying to grow in there. She was also very realistic and honest to say that I am not out of the woods yet, but so far so good.

Then I went back to the other room and the dr. came in and was very pleased, but again he was also cautious that I am still in a precarious situation. I am on limited activity, no DTD, no exercise (just went on another 30 mile bike ride with DH on Sunday...no more of that) and try to keep my stress down (HA, I have a very critical hearing tomorrow morning at 9AM!). I am rescheduled for another u/s on Dec. 5.

I am sooo happy, I just keep crying, praying. I'm still bleeding pretty good which is really bothering me, I just want it to stop. I even got a print out of my u/s! I will post it soon, have to do it from work so I can scan to the computer!

Ladies, thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, hugs.....I hope you know how much that means. We've all been through a lot and I hate that posts like my earlier one drags all that raw pain out again for us, yet so unselfishly you give positive feelings and support. And if there is just one thing more I can ask of you all is to send me lots of sticky dust....this bean is fighting to stick!
