they did assisted hatching with 2 of the best embies and we put those 2 in. They wanted to put in a 3rd (no assisted hatching) but I opted to save that one with the remaining 2 for a future FET. They did discard that one that wasn't doing so well, it had too much DNA in it so it was abnormal (hey, like I'm not! )

Anyway, it all went really smoothly, the only sucky part was the full bladder thing - yikes, I thought I was going to pee on my RE!

Here's some pictures:

This is one of the embies they put in today:

and this is of my uterus after the transfer - the little bright white blob nearer to the top of the picture is of the 2 floating around in the tiny bit of fluid they put in with them.

OMG, the wait to see that true BFP is going to drive me NUTS!!!!!

That's exciting and I think the wait is bad when I'm not sure if the egg got fertilized. I can't imagine knowing that there are two fully formed embies floating around in there, all the have to due is STICK. Sending lots of sticky dust your way!!!

thanks ladies!!!!! It IS a very weird feeling to KNOW there are 2 embies in there vs. waiting the 2 weeks not knowing anything! We're hoping for twins, but will be happy to get 1!

I am sooo excited!

So how long before you can POAS?

Don't they do a trigger shot or something? So you have to wait to test right? I don't know a whole heck of a lot about IVF

Go TWINS!!!!!!!!!!

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pitures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3

Go TWINS!!!!!!!!!![/b]

You get the trigger shot 36 hours before they do the retrieval, something about it helping the eggs to mature, and helping to prepare the body for pregnancy. (let me tell you that MF hurt like a SOAB!!!!! Poor DH, he hit a nerve when he gave me the shot, he felt so bad!) It's 10,000 IU of HCG so it takes awhile to get out of the system. What I've read is that the HCG # drops in half each day, so we figured it should be out of my system by 6 days past transfer, but it might take a few days more. And I've read the earliest I can get a true BFP is about the same time, 6 days past transfer. The RE doesn't do a beta count until 14 days past the transfer (18 - 19 days past the trigger shot) because they want to be sure the trigger shot will be out of my system by then.
My plan is to get a bunch of dollar store cheapies and start testing at 4 days past transfer to monitor the line getting lighter, and then (hopefully) getting MUCH darker!!! I do have one equate test left, but that's alot more sensitive than the dollar store ones, so I'll probably take that one once I know for sure just to see those lines!!! Here I am at 2 DPT and I want to test already!!! But I know it will be a false positive at this point.

Jessica I SO hope you're right!!!!! We're hoping for twins too!!! any thoughts on gender(s)? Cheri's prediction was for a girl in July, and although my EDD will be early to mid august, I could easily go at the end of July.
