Here is some background, I had a D&C on 10/16, my baby was 8w5d, and my HCG levels were very, very high. I still had a very faint positive HPT on 11/14. I have been waiting for AF to come now for several, several days. I have been so confident it was on its way so many times that I have given up on it. This is very strange because I had some of the worst cramps of my life on Thursday. It started to taper off sometime overnight to Friday because I woke up feeling okay yesterday. Today, almost nothing - except when I move around I feel weird stuff in my stomach, and when I press on my abdomen down low, there is some discomfort. Could I have shed my lining without having menstruated??? I know, really stange thought, but there is something in there that normally isn't!!

I just don't know what to think... I am calling the doctor on Monday if AF has not come yet.

Please help if you can, any idea what could this be??

PS - I am NOT pregnant, very negative HPT today.

Thanks!!

I know I am not going to be very much help here, but I find it interesting that you O'd a day after getting your faint positve. Normally it takes the hcg to be out of your system in order for you to O again. Thats just my experience.

All I know is that our bodies can get a little screwed up after a mc. I know it took mine a good while to get back to "normal" and actually there wasn't a real normal before.

I think you should talk to the dr.'s if af doesn't show and maybe then you will get many more questions answered!

GL and maybe you just tested too soon?

We think it could be Asherman's.............I am SO SCARED.......... it sounds like what happened to me, had my period but it could not come out because of the scar tissue.

Thanks Em, I am so terrified. I won't know anything until tomorrow - they are doing an ultrasound, and my bloodwork and stuff should be back too hopefully. Asherman's is very serious, in about 20-30% of the cases - it leaves you completely infertile in the fact that you could never carry a baby. Ladies, please pray for us, I am at God's mercy right now.

Oh, you girls are so sweet! Thanks for thinking of me!

Unfortunately, my news isn't good. It most likely is Asherman's. I will be seeing a RE on Thursday, but I have not seen him before so I will have to wait for an official diagnosis. They have to do a fancy procedure to officially diagnose you, but everything symptom wise is pointing to Asherman's.....

I have also been in touch with a world-renowned doctor who specializes in Asherman's, and thinks that I should have bled based on my biphasic pattern and heavy AF cramping. Because I didn't, it is a bad sign. My cervix is probaby closed shut with scar tissue.

I may not be very active on this board since I won't be TTC for awhile. I will probably still be hanging out in PL though.

Thanks again girls, it feels good to know you care.

Hi ladies, thanks again for the T&P's. I need them for sure!

I really hate this waiting period and am not sure when it will be over. I hope that Thursday brings good news too - I just want this all to be a bad dream....

On the positive side, there is hope for babies, and I have found one of the very best doctors in the WORLD to help me if this is truly what I have. For that, I am grateful to God.

By the way, this was my first D&C. I had no idea this could happen to me, I thought you needed to have a bunch of them before you needed to be concerned. Big slap in the face here.... I just wanted to tell you all that because my doctor explained that I had nothing to worry about....YEAH RIGHT!!
