You know that popular question "What was the first day of your last normal menstral cycle"? Does anyone else get a full day (or two) of light spotting before the flow actually starts. If so, what day do you indicate as the FIRST DAY. I always used to think it was the day spotting began, but now I'm second guessing myself.

I always used to think it was when the spotting began too but I guess it's really when AF shows bright red/full force. Sometimes I would spot for a day or at least a few hours before but now most of the time it's BAM there she is.

The first day of red flow is considered day 1.

I agree with everyone else the first day of red flow is CD1

Thanks ladies! I knew it was a dumb question. I've never charted before and after reading all the details about how much people have learned about their body, I think I'm going to begin trying. FF seems to be the place of choice around here, so I'll check it out soon. Thanks again!
