Do those Pillsbery cookies count??

I hate making cookies because there's always a huge mess after. I might try and make rocky road dessert squares this year, and I want sugar cookies too.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what I decide to do!

Once in a while I do. I used to do it EVERY year, it was a tradition. Once I got married and had a kid that kind of all flew out the window. I am planning on making cookies for my neighbors (that I like) this year, but I don't know if I will have time. Do you think if I made them this weekend it would be to early to give them out?

Can I let you gals in on a little secret?? I used to bake everything ...and it is a mess & a pain!
this year, I am doing all cake mix cookies......(except for my thumbrprints, they'll be from scratch)
just get any cake mix flavor, add 1/2 cup of oil & 2 eggs...and you're done!!! bake at 350 for about 15-20 min. depending on your oven.....
add whatever you like too! it is EASY, and not messy !

Judy, nope its not to early.....now send me some

Nope, I don't think it's too early at all. In fact, it might be better now before people start getting lots of other "treats".

This year, a few of my girlfriends and I (I think 5 total) are all getting together on Sat night for a cookie baking party at my house. We are each going to bring 2 recipes of cookies we like and the special ingredients those cookies need. (I am going to supply all the basic staples...flour, sugar, brown sugar, butter, etc). I am sooooooo excited and think it will be really fun to make the cookies together. I'll let you know how it turns out!

my girlfriends and I do a cookie swap... there are about 11 of us in total this year. Each person chooses a different type of cookie (or square) to make and makes 6 of their kind for each girl coming. Then, we all get together, swap cookies, eat some, drink some spiked coffee/hot chocolate and chat it up!! It's a fun time, and then we all get to leave with 11 different kinds of sweets!!!

I'm having a cookie party this Sunday! No Bears game for once!!! I'm having 6 girls over and we're each making two different cookies or bars or whatever. I don't know how the cookies will turn out, but I'm sure it'll be fun! If I ever figure out how to put pictures on here, I'll take pics of our party and post em.
