So I followed Em and ordered a cheap test from the farmacia and it's a cassette type with pink ink. ( the kind that comes with the little dropper) and I took it and left it on the counter for 5 minutes. Came back to it and I swear there is a faint faint faint pink line. Now I've never experienced an evap line before could this be what this is? I used this test one time when I was pg in Aug and the positive then was very light to but not this faint. I'm 8 dpo. In all 3 of my pgs got my first pos at 10 dpo.

so anyways can anyone describe the difference between a faint BFP (well not so big or fat) and an evap line? Thanks

The impression i always had of the difference is that an evap appears AFTER the alotted 10 minutes.. so if you say you only walked away for like 5 minutes..i think thats a really good sign!!!

I couldnt find any cheapo tests.. and ive nevre even seen what a cassette test case looks like..so i dont know what im looking for anyways.. so i took a more expensive test kind.. and it was a BFN.. i STILL want to go out and buy the cheapo kind if only i could FIND them!!!

From what I know, a faint line will stay there no matter what (I got a faint line when I tested back in June, and it's still on the test ) An evap will disappear after some time. Which is why it's called an "evap" -- evaporation or evaporated line.

Hope this helps!!! Sure sounds like you got a !!! I'd re-test in a few days with an FRER or a digital or something along those lines. Like you said -- you usually get a major on 10DPO so, you've got 2 days to wait!!!

an evap usually has a more grey than pink color to it, or an indent.....
um....do you have pics??????????

I'd retest with an FRER in a few days too

thanks ladies. Just looked again after a couple of hours and it's faint faint pink. I'm still skeptical of the cheapo cheapo test. I'll try again in a couple of days or maybe tomorrow am Hee Hee!

Dee, I don't know how to post pictures yet and DH is away so I can't get him to help me. But not that I would tell him I took a test anyways. He'd definitely scold me.

The cassette type tests are the ones they have at the $tree...I've used them a lot lol. As long as it's pink and the same size as the control line, I'd say BFP!!!
