i am so confused right now. i started having a miscarriage sunday, my first (only) loss. i was 4 wks 6 days. not far i know, but enough that this has taken quite the emotional toll on my and my husband. i am trying to keep positive, reasons such as we are about to embark on a move to Japan following a cross country drive that will take us across at least 12 states over 25 days. preparing for the move has been stressfull enough, and i know that the loss of this pregnancy. as much as i wanted it, is really not a bad thing.
i guess what i am getting at is i hopefully will be joining you as my husband and i TTC again soon. and i will keep positive and it will stop hurting eventually right? i know it will. i have so many questions but i will reserve those for a later post, i will now just introduce myself. My name is Alana, my husband is Paul, and we have been TTC since June.

AWW I am soo sorry for your loss

Feel free to jump right in whenever you want. You don't have to be TTC at the moment We love new friends!

Yes the pain does dull a bit with time, but I don't think it ever goes away. Eventually the good days out weigh the bad. I know the day I hold a baby in my arms again will be the day it is all worth it!

Oh Alana!!! I'm so sorry!!!!

The pain does dull after sometime, but it (honestly) will never leave your soul. I still cry sometimes when I think of my lil one, that I lost at 5 weeks 1 day.

I wish you and your husband the best in the future, and with your move to Japan. Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like!!! You're more than welcome here!! This board is amazing!!

Hey

I'm sorry for your loss. It is very difficult but it will get better. I can empathize with your stress. I too am getting ready to move in January; our 5th in 4 1/2 years (3 times out of the US) so I now how stressful moving can be especially overseas. Are you guys going to Okinawa? Just thought maybe from the Marine uniform..
Try to enjoy your holidays and resume the TTC'in when you're ready.

Alana, I'm so sorry for you loss. Like everyone else said, the pain doesn't totally go away but we all manage to get on with life.

Moving is stressful so I can imagine you will be quite busy, which may be a good thing for you right now. Keep your mind off of the miscarriage and looking toward the future.

One of the only things that makes me feel better about having the miscarriage is something my roommate from college said to me when I first found out I was pregnant back in August (she's a labor and delivery nurse)she said: Miscarriages are very common and if it happens to you it's not your fault, there are so many things that have to go right that it will take care of itself if it needs to.

Keep in mind I had JUST found out I was pregnant and she said that, I was a little annoyed, but 7 weeks later at 13 weeks pregnant that was the first thing that popped into my head when I went to the ER. We know it's not our fault and it happens for a reason.

I hope you have an easy time TTC when you're ready. Welcome to our group, we're a pretty fun bunch
