New here from the Grieving board

Hi Ladies,

I am new here - I've been on the grieving board for about a month now and trying to learn a few things about TTC from you all!

I have a quick question for you. I m/c two weeks ago today so I have not had AF flow yet obviously. I know that AF could show up whenever she feels like it as things can be funky after m/c. My question is - will I even ovulate this month before my first AF post m/c?

I ask because DH and I are going away on vacation tomorrow and I REALLY don't want to abstain from sex while on vacation. Condoms and other BC methods are really not much of an option for us. I know I have to wait until AF arrives to start TTC again. What do you think?

As well, if I use a chart to see when my fertile days would be this month, how can I really know what to put for my last AF to calculate if I am even fertile anyway? The day of the actual m/c? The day I found out I was going to m/c? I assume it would be the day I actually m/c, but does that even count as an AF as far as my body is concerned?

Im really sorry for your loss..

This is all in my own opinion.

I know what you mean about not wanting to abstain! I hated that to. If you really want to wait until your cycle shows up then use the pull and pray method.. worked for me. but if you arent to worried about it then dont bother with anything.

Your body might not even ovulate before yuor next period..i am pretty sure i didnt before my next period.. but other ppl have. My period showed up exactly 4 weeks from the date of my m/c.. but other people have had to wait muuuuch longer than that...

You do count the m/c day as your first cycle day...although it wasnt really a cycle and your body knows it!.... but you cant estimate ANYthing from that.. you have to watch your own body signals.. like your CM.. ovulation pains?...etc..or you can use OPKs.. I think even temping after a miscarriage isnt very reliable.. but you can try that...

Maybe some other gals will have better ideas. Have a great vacation!!!

I'm so very sorry for your loss!!!

Like Em mentioned, you might not O before AF shows this month. It's hard to say, because, you aren't just in a regular cycle, you're in a cycle following a m/c.

My first AF showed up 32 days after the bleeding had stopped, my cycles also haven't been the same since my m/c in June.
