How long should you wait after a loss? My dr told me a year but that doesn't sound right to me and i can't wait a year because my husband will be deployed then so thats a no, and i really don't want to wait a year. That just seems like a really long time to me. I've heard 3-6months but i wanted to see what everyone else says.

A year???? I don't think so!!!!!

Some doctors say 1 cycle, others say 3 cycles.

For me personally, my doctor didn't tell me anything. My husband and I decided to wait and we've decided on March 2008 (unless something else comes up )

A year sounds wayyyyyyyy too long to wait before TTC!!!

I had a D&C on Nov 20 and just went for my follow-up today. My doctor said as long as we wait one cycle to allow the tissue to fully heal, then it's *game on* Did you have extenuating circumstances for your miscarriage? I just can't understand why he would say a year?!?!?

I think he's stupid too! Get a new doctor! As long as you had a follow up and everything is fine, go for it! Good luck!

I agree that you should find a new doc! He is nuts!! The dr that did my d&c told me to wait 2-3 cycles, and my reg doc said we could ttc after 1 cycle! I say try when you are ready. We are waiting until next month, only b/c we would rather not have an Aug or Sept baby (DD#1 starting pre-K)
