TTC what bad habits do you stop?

I stop everything, LOL.

I do NOT drink any alcohol after I know I have ovulated. I dont smoke so dont have to worry about that.

I even stop caffiene!! LOL. and I only take tylenol for pain relief, just in case.

Im the healthiest I ever am when i am TTC or pregnant, LOL

Just wondering if everyone else goes that far, lol.

I just get so worried, especialy since my loss, and want to give my baby the best chance possible (even though Im sure a cup of coffee a day wouoldnt hurt, but im a paranoid freak, lol)

Well, I don't smoke or drink, or even drink caffeine most of the time, so I don't have to stop those. However, I drink more caffeine when pregnant than when I'm not (a Dr. Pepper about 3 times a week when pregnant). I tell people I drink Dr. Pepper medicinally, since I get headaches when pregnant, and since I don't drink caffeine often, the Dr. Pepper helps the headaches and I feel better about it than even tylenol.


I'm better at trying to take my vitamins when pregnant, although it's harder because I get so sick.


I'm actually much less healthy when pregnant because I'm so sick that I eat whatever I can hold down!

I completely understand the headaches thing! i suffer from chronic tension headaches, and caffiene can definately help!! i drink soda sometimnes whne preg also.

That sucks you get so sick. I have been lucky so far and do not get very sick when prego, otherwise im sure i would be very unhealthy when preg too, lol

well when TTC i usualyl cut back my caffeine intake a lot after i O.. and i stop using facial stuff that has salycic acid in it... i dont drink any diet sodas.. theres probably a few more ...

but when i am actually pregnant i agree with eating whatever i feel like i can handle at the time.. its not the other foods make me sick, but the THOUGHT of them does... so i have to eat whatever sounds good at the time... but im probably going to be overly cautiouse about it next time.. last time i ate hot dogs and sandwhich meat whenever i wanted.. i dont think i will next time..

If you make sure that they're heated thoroughly right before you eat them they should be fine. I totally understand being overly cautious though. I was that way as well, even though my loss was a cord accident and didn't have anything to do with what I did or ate. It helps you feel a little less crazy if you are doing something proactive to be "better" than when you had your loss.
