Ok I called my OB back to tell them that the clinic that DH went to to do the SA faxed the results over friday and that they were going to fax them again. Well the nurse went and checked to see if they had them and they did but she said that they couldnt read them, there was no counts on it or recommendations. So she is going to call them to have them read them to her and call me back. I REALLY DONT LIKE THIS CLINIC THAT DH HAD TO GO TO. What they dont think its that important what the results say. Well men wouldnt be going in there to get a SA done if there was nothing wrong. What sucks more is that I will have to go through the same clinic to get my HSG done. GREAT. So now I wait for the nurse from my OB's office to call me back. I dont blame them at all its not their fault.
Ok I'm done venting now. Sorry about that.

Oh man, that stinks! I will never understand places like that where they minimize the importance of test results like that. There's no other clinic in the area that you can go to? I'm really sorry you have to deal with that!

Well the nurse called me back. First she said that all the results were normal. I asked for numbers, I want the exact results not the general results. Well his sperm count is greater then 40 million and the mobility of the sperm is greater then 50%. Ok so lets see he is fine, my blood work was fine now I just need to get the HSG done. For 2 people that have pretty much nothing wrong with them its sure taking a long time to get pg!!!!!!! I'm sorry I'm just having a really bad day. I just wish I had something that could let me see into my body and tell me when to BD at the right time and could help me see when the sperm go to the egg then I would know for sure if the egg got fertilized or not. Then there would be no more waiting. GRRRRRRRRRRR

that's great though there's no problem on that front. Hopefully the HSG will clean out the pipes so to speak and you'll have smooth sailing from there on out.

it's funny, my sister was talking to me last month and was really upset b/c she didn't get PG again. This is round hmmm 8 or 9 I think with IUI. She's had to do IVF to get her son and tried IVF again this last time but it just didn't take. She was upset about the unexplained infertility thing and I was just kind of vague and said that I knew what she meant. We haven't told anyone we're trying b/c when we got pg the last time, I had a m/c and I just don't want all the questions you know? It really sucks though to try month after month after freakin month!

Don't worry about being sad, that's what we're here for!!

I have done the IUI/fertiltity route (and am still in the process). The good news is that you should know your results right then and there for you HSG. You will see the dye filling your uterus and tubes. If there is blockage or fibroids....you will see it.

Have they tested your thyroid? We had all the tests done and everything is normal for us too...I knew I had hypothyroid beforehand and have that under control...I know if it is off (outside the range of .5 - 3) then it is very difficult to get pregnant.

Have you had a uterine biopsy yet? With mine they found that the lining of my uterus was immature and when this is the case, the fertilized egg will not implant. They corrected this with me with clomid and progesterone.

Right now I am almost 7 weeks pregnant....I am having spotting (thank you for your reply to my post!) but praying that everything will be fine.

Best of luck to you and your DH!!!

Hi Angela,

I am sorry about the frustration you are experiencing. I wish this whole pg. thing was as easy as it seems to be for the people who don't deserve it! I can't wait for 2007 to be over and to start over again in 2008. I hope we both get our sticky beans very, very soon!

You know, Travis and I were just talking about this. We were thinking that in high school they made it sound like if you just touch a boy you'll get pregnant but in reality it seems like you have to stand on one leg, plug your nose, hop a circle and wait for the moon alignment to be right. I mean, what the heck!

I totally understand the mixed emotions. On one hand, you are thrilled that everything is okay with you and dh, but on the other hand, it would be nice to have an answer as to why things aren't working the way they should. Here's hoping for a better 2008!

Yeah they did a full work up on me last week with my blood and everything came back good including my thyroid. They havent said anything about doing a uterine biopsy. Do they normally do that after you get a HSG done? They are trying to get me in for my HSG test next Wednesday.
