well.. someone posted that article the other day about the husbands taking daily vitamins too..

SO i went out and bought him a men complete daily pill.... and handed it to him last night.... and at first he was complaining, but then i smile sweetly and said, "baby, if IM taking pills everyday for this, then you can take just one pill a day. And if this really does help make your sperm healthier, then i want us to do evreything we can to make a healthy baby this time." And he took the livestrong bracelate (that came with it) off the top, put it on, and swallowed the first pill down.. .... haha... (exclaimer: didnt go exactly like that, but close enough)

So MAYBE with him taking pills, and me on straight up folic acid this month will work! and we'll get a healthy baby! maybe... One can hope right... gawd i hate waiting.. can i POAS yet!? haha.. yeh im still on my period... i know.

I told Travis a few days ago that if we don't get pregnant this month that he is going on vitamins too and that we are going to start excercising again. He just said okay. I think he was too tired to argue

Everyone, we are prime example of what vitamins and chinese medicine can do for a man's sperm. We had been TTC since march 07. I thought it was my problem since I am almost 39. I had one fsh that was 11 (our labs high normal was 10.2) with repeats at 6. My OB recommended acupuncture for me. Anyhoo... come June when nothing had happened, I had DF S/A done. We thought that he was ok because he had a 10 and 12 yr old from his first marriage. Wellll..... let me tell you how smoking and prescription meds ruin a mans sperm count. His count was 11million. My OB recommended having my acupuncturist start him on something. We started a good MVI and she started him on an herb called cordyceps. It comes from a mushroom. 3 wks later we saw a urologist to check on a varicocele. He repeated the the S/A and it had already increased to 20million. That made DF feel better. We knew that we were going to have to do IUI and clomid. 6wks later we ended up pregnant naturally. Right before I was to start clomid. From my understanding the OB said to get pregnant naturally you need a sperm count of atleast 40million. Anyway, we did have a missed miscarriage at wk 10. So we start over again. The herbs and his MVI are a part of his day. We get our MVI and cordyceps from metagenics or my acupuncturist. The have an web page. Longevityherbs.com I think. Hopefully in feb 08 we will get another BFP!

just thought l would let ya know that my Doc has put Gary on vitamins,
fish oil,& folic acid too as he has very low sperm Morphology which only gives
us 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally he was on them for 3 months
before we did our first cycle of ivf and he's results were inproved heaps
and we got a BFP but l did have a missed m/c at 13 weeks.
So now only hope 2008 will bring us a healthy baby home

Tell you DH that I said he is not allowed to complain about taking vitamins. He will take them and LIKE IT!!!

Just kidding, of course!!

It is so funny, my DH will get on these kicks and spend oodles on drinks and vitamins and what not, and then take them for only like a week. Maybe I should put the gauntlet down on him?!

Just like Em said, if I am taking them - you are taking them too!

Dave started taking vitamins the month before last too. He takes a multi, B6, B12 and Zinc.

Last month we had a chemical PG and this month I think we have some form of a BFP again. We have been TTC for around six years. I think he should have started taking them A LONG time ago

for sperm counts!

I'm glad all of the sperm counts have increased!!!! That's great news!!!

Dwayne is taking vitamins for his health, and he's been taking them for the entire time I've known him! I'm not too sure what kind they are though.

I had no idea vitamins play such a big part in making a baby! I'll definitely mention it to him when we begin trying.
