Hi!

Im wondering how many of you haveh eard of the Diva cup, or the moon cup.. or insteads??

I found out about them around 6 months ago.. finally ordered one, and then got pregnant with Baby E... so i gave it to my mom.. and she LOVES it! so now i am with out a diva cup.. which i am bummed about.

I think they are pretty great and was just wondering how many of you have heard of it or tried it or use one??

I sound like an advertisement.. haha.. but i really think that the word should get out there more about them! because they are environmentally friendly, and whooha friendly!

I check it out....I think I may order one after Christmas. TMI... but I have found tampons to bug the heck out of me the last couple cycles. Thanks for the web site I didn't know those existed!

i HATE pads... and tampons tend to leak, and are uncomfortable if you are on a light day... I never got to use the diva cup.. but mom says its great! she says she never had a leak with it... and hardly remembers shes wearing it..

plus they SAY that if you have cramps sometimes the diva cup can help cut back on cramps.. not sure why.. but it does supposedly...

I've seen something like this at Wal-Mart and always wondered if it was as great as they say on the box. I'll have to check it out when I'm going to be having regular cycles again. Hopefully, soon, I won't have to worry about that...lol! I don't like tampons much (they make me crampy) and HATE pads, so this might be what I'm looking for!

I've seen the advertisement on MyMontlyCycles.com but never have clicked on it!

I found that the tampons I was using would bug the crap out of me, so I switched to a different brand and they're great! I hate pads, so, until I find myself interested in the Diva Cup, it'll be Playtex Sport for me!!!

I've got one. I ordered it, and some cloth pads, and then got pregnant before I could use them.

Unfortunately now I've had plenty of chances to use it. And I tried ordering more cloth pads to get me pregnant again, but it didn't work.

I decided I wanted to stop using disposable pads and tampons and use something more natural. Anyway, mixed reviews from me. I can feel it is there, but I think maybe I need to trim the end of it and that might help. It seems almost too big when I take it out, and I have the one that is for women who haven't given birth. For now I just use it at night, because I CAN'T STAND to use pads at night and have leakage. I don't notice it when I'm asleep.

I have heard others really like it. There's another cup similar to Diva Cup that is called The Keeper.

yeh, ive heard of the keeper too... the mooncup, and insteads...

Insteads are the ones you can wear and have sex while you're wearing them... but ive never tried that either... i have used them.. but not for that purpose... i found those kinda difficult to get out.... they were fine going in, and inside.. but coming out was odd... Insteads are also the ones you can buy at pharmacys...
They are disposable..

my mom trimmed the end off her diva cup... i guess she felt it too..but once she trimmed it she doesnt..

like i said.. inever got a chance to use it..

I think it's worth a shot buying it. This morning when I took it out I put on a little lubrication and that made it much easier to take it out.

If you like it, you'll save a lot of money over time not buying pads and tampons and then you don't have chemically things all up in your whooha.

Really Gross Question and Maybe TMI...So look away if you get grossed out easily.....

What do you do with the blood? Do you drop it in the toilet and then go rinse the cup out? Does it get your hands messy when you try to take it out. I was thinking that I did use insteads once, but when I took it out there was all kinds of mess on my hands and a bigger mess in general. I gave them away...this was may be 6 or 7 years ago. The shape was different than the Diva Cup.

TMI, I find the blood is kind of mucousy and does not pour out easily, so I just rinse it into the bathroom sink and wash it out there.

It doesn't get my fingers very messy when I am further into my cycle (less blood) but I do get some blood on my fingers on the first few days of my cycle, when my flow is pretty heavy. It's not a huge deal since I am only using the cup at home. I just wash my hands with soap while I am washing out the Diva cup.

Also it was more messy the first few times I used it. Over time I'm figuring out how to take it out with less mess.
