I posted this on another board as well....I purchased the clear blue easy digital opk test for this cycle. My cycle has been 25 days long recently. According to all the ovulation calculators my ovulation day should of been yesterday. I'm a early riser...5-5:30 a.m. everyday. So anyway...on the 24th of December I took the test at 5:30a.m. my test was negative....on the 25th my test was positive at 5:30a.m. Everything I read talks about LH rising about 4 hours after 1st morning urine. Could I have started on the 24th with my LH rise??? I'm sorry this question my be confusing. My dh and I have bd everyday since the 21st except for yesterday the 26th because we were around family all day long. It sucks that I'm ovulating during the christmas holiday... Thanks for any info you can provide

I haven't used OPK's yet, but from everything I have read, you aren't supposed to use FMU. Sperm can live in there for up to 5 days, so you may have covered your bases by BDing before your ovulation. Somewhere, I read it was better to do it before ovulation because then they are waiting there for the egg. Good luck, I hope you caught that egg!!!

I don't use OPKs either, but have also heard that you aren't suppose to use FMU.

It sure does look like you got in some BDing during the right time though!!!

When are you testing???

I wasn't planning on using the ovulation tests except...my husband and I knew we would be staying at family's houses during the holidays and wanted to try and pinpoint a time. The clearblue easy insert said to use fmu but everything else I had read said to wait. So I don't know. But I'll probably test 10 dpo which would be Jan 4 or 5th. Hopefully it worked this time but we aren't really expecting it to since we both have been sick, not able to bd exactly on the day and we've been traveling from Virginia to Missouri and back to Virginia again in a weeks time. Anyway... I will definitely let everybody know!!!
