Hey Ladies, im Lisa and i was a part of the May 08 DDC but lost my baby @ around 13 weeks due to a partial molar pregnancy. Because of the PMP we are technically not suppose to TTC for atleast 6 months. However we intend to be "sneaky" & start not using protection as soon as my HCG levels are back to normal (which should be in the next 2 weeks) and i have had 1 normal cycle. Since it took us so long to concieve last time (around 7 months) i don't want to wait the extra 6 months, kwim? I'm going to pray that GOD will know the right time for us to get pregnant again! Anyway just wanted to introduce myself while we are waiting to try!

Hello Lisa!
I'm so sorry you hear of your loss!!!
I can understand your reasoning for not wanting to wait 6 months to conceive! Did your doctor tell you why he/she recommended waiting 6 months?
I hope you and Riley are able to conceive as soon as you're ready, and are able to make Haven a big brother real soon!!! You're going to love it here!!! This board is amazing!!
and to you!!!

I am very sorry for your loss I hope you get a BFP when you are ready!
Jessica, with a molar pregnancy I believe it can turn into cancer, so they watch your HCG levels really carefully for fluctuations, they want to make sure there is absolutely no cancer before you get pregnant again, mosyt of the time you are fine, i think cancer only happens in 2-5% or something like that.

Yes, with a molar pregnancy it can turn into cancer and there is only like a 5% chance & it's even lower with a partial mole (which is what i had) & since my levels have dropped really quick, i think that even makes the chance lower. The weird thing though is my DR didn't recommend anything different (like waiting longer to TTC) when he diagnosed me with the PMP, it's just what i've read on the internet that says the 6 month- 1year wait. So im not sure if he just forgot or he doesn't think we need to wait? Either way we've already made up our mind, lol.
