i posted this in the September DDC, but no one has responded--it's be viewed about 20 times, but whatever.
last night i got a sharp, stabbing pain in my lower right side when i coughed--it only lasted a few seconds--it went away and didn't come back at all.
has anyone experienced this? could this be ligament pain--even though it seems to early for that?
thanks in advance!

I certainly don't mind if you ask pg questions, we've all been there. Anyways, as soon as I read your question, I immediately thought ligament pain. I wouldn't worry too much if it just happened for a second and then went away. KUP

Maybe the ladies who viewed them don't know the answer?
REgardless, you can always ask here!
I would say that definitely sounds like round ligament pains to me. Mine started very early on with my first pregnancy.

I agree about the ligament pain. There's all kinds of stretching and pulling feelings in the beginning, so I'd say it's TOTALLY normal! Plus, if it went away, you have NO need to worry at all. Don't even give it a 2nd thought!

Or if you ovulated off the right side during the cycle that you conceived, it could be your corpus luteum pressing on your ovary. It sustains your pregnancy until the placenta takes over. Mine (before the miscarriage) was big, and it cause me discomfort frequently. It was just to the side of my uterus. Thats another option. And it is normal too.

I found this on the net:
"Many pregnant women describe round ligament pain as a pulling or sharp pain in either side of the lower abdomen. It most commonly occurs in the middle of the pregnancy. The most typical causes of round ligament pain are activities such as standing quickly from a sitting position, turning your body suddenly, rolling over in bed, or coughing. What you are probably feeling is spasms in the muscular ligaments supporting the uterus. Fortunately, this discomfort is of no real medical significance; it is just another one of those nagging aches and pains of pregnancy. To help relieve round ligament pain, you can rest for short periods. Sometimes lying on the side that hurts can relieve the pain. You can also try to anticipate the activities that cause the discomfort and approach them more slowly."
got it from http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,4410,00.html

OMG! I am glad everything is okay. Do they do anything for the cyst? Or just let it be?
Glad the baby looks great and is measuring on schedule
