I'm trying to figure out if I haved Oed. I really thought I did on CD 13. I got a very strongly positive OPK, and I have Oed the day I got a positive OPK the past couple months. My cervix was in the right spot and I got ovulation cramps.
CD 14 I got terrible sleep (no more than 1 or two hours at a time) so I wasn't concerned when my temp didn't rise.
Today, CD 15, I got pretty good sleep. However, still no temp rise. I did wake one hour before I temped but did not get up and went immediately back to sleep and usually that does not seem to affect my temps that much. I did notice my mouth was gaping open more widely when I woke up to temp. (I breathe through my mouth every night.)
The different scenarios I've thought of are:
1. The temp not rising is a fluke because of my mouth being so widely open before I temped and I really did ovulate on CD 13. Or that I did ovulate, but it is taking a long time for my temps to rise. (Seems weird because normally my temps do start rising right away.)
2. I didn't ovulate at all, my body tried to, but then didn't. I am having an annovulatory cycle. (Still, I don't know if I would have gotten the O cramps? Plus to my knowledge I've never had an annovulatory cycle.)
3. I still have yet to ovulate and will soon. (Not sure about this because it does not follow the pattern of me Oing on the day I get a positive OPK and plus my cervix has already started dropping and firming.)
What do you think? The thought of BDing any more is not appealing. I was all excited because I thought I had timed everything perfectly this month and now I'm confused and disappointed.

Hi Shannon,
I had a similar experience this past cycle. However, I have only used OPK's twice, so I don;t know exactly what is "typical" for me just yet. Anyhow, this is what happened to me. The first time I used an OPK in August, I got my 1st positive at 6pm, Well, I O'd the very next day and actually had a negative OPK less than 24 hours later at 4pm. So, my surge came and went very quickly. This past cycle though was completely different. I got a positive OPK on Friday at 2pm, and did not experience my temp rise until Monday morning. I don't know if that is what is happening with you, but I thought it might help you feel better that it could still be on its way.
I know BD can be exhausting......whatever happened to the good ol days?!! But, those little spermies can live for several days, so you still have a good opportunity to catch your little eggie. Good luck sweetie, and let us know if you get your temp rise tomorrow.

I know TTC can be tiring. If I was younger and felt like time was on my side I would be so much more laid back about frequency of BDing. <sigh>
My personal opinion is that you haven't Oed yet but will in a couple days. It looks like you body tried and didn't O. I bet you get another + OPK if you test all week. Sorry I know that isn't what you want to hear
I sooo hope I am wrong

Well, after semi decent sleep, I got a rise today! I also had some sharp pains (unlike the dull ones I have had the past couple months and had on CD13) so I guess it is possible that I Oed yesterday, instead of CD 13.
Unfortunately that means our timing was not the best. I thought about trying to BD yesterday but I just did not feel like it. We went to the mall and between all that was going on tiring me out (I have sensory problems) and having to see tons of pregnant women or women with babies, I was depressed.
I guess if it's meant to be, it will still happen.

Oh... well your DH is being much more "helpful" now... so if this isnt your month at least you know he'll be there for you again next month...
But like you said! if its supposed to happen it will! Its not like its completely off..you still got some in the fertile window...
Im glad we're in the 2ww together.
