well guess who walked into our bedroom at 7:45 this morning... yup (duh) that would be our little 21 month old baby girl...Layla! she has finally mastered the art of climbing out of her crib. I knew this day was coming.. and i know we lucked out that it didnt happen until now actually... but still! WOW! we just stared at her as she came strutting into our room.... i litterally had my mouth hanging open.

So, probably today, we will transform her bed into a toddler bed..i would rather her be able to get out of bed easily, than accidentally fall and hurt herself trying to climb out of bed again. Besides, the climbing out of bed thing is going to be fascinating to her and she will end up trying to do it every chance she gets. Not because shes wants to be bad, but because its just so darned fun... So if shes in a bed that she can get out of easily, but knows shes not alloud to, then i think that will make life easier... (THEORETICALLY)

wish us luck with the whole bed thing! im thinking it might be a nightmare!

~Em

PS My temps are down to 97.6 (coverline 98) so i think im gonna start today... plus i have an aching lower back and that "feeling" in my stomache that somethings going on...

Awww, cute, she will love her big girl bed. You could let her "help" out in putting it together. My little one is 2 1/2 and loved being part of putting his bed together. He was put into his toddler bed at about 18 months and I was a wreck. Can't tell you how many times the first few weeks I'd get up to check on him. He only fell out once and that was a few months later. Ran like mad up to him when we heard and he was still sleeping!!!!!

Cheeky monkey

Wish you all the best with it, and she will be fine!

Oh, and those darn temps. Hate when they go down.

Awww!!! We just put Sophie into a real bed last night. No more toddler bed. It broke my heart that my little one is getting big so I understand where you are coming from. I hate that they have to grow up...Em I love the pic of the 2 of you with towels on your head.

big girl beds were a surprisingly easy transition for both of my girls. I'm sure it'll be easy for you guys too. You'll have to take some pics!

Sorry about your temps!
