I had a d/c November 27th, then 35 days later started AF. She was really heavy/crampy the first 3 days, then disapeared completly cd 4-7. I had one last suprise visit on cd 8 ( older blood- pretty light flow)
I'm now on cd 14 and I still have extremely light spotting. Like tinted cm.... Is this normal at all?? I know that i have heard that your first AF after a m/c can be a little whacky- so i just need a little reassurance.
Thanks in advance!

Melissa, great question.. I am wondering the same thing, as I am on CD6 right now and had heavy bleeding/cramping days 1-3, then nothing night of CD3-afternoon of CD5 - then yesterday afternoon I was working out at the gym and she came back with a big gush (sorry if TMI).. today, hardly anything again. I am wondering when she'll be gone for good this month!

I have no idea. I would call the DR if you are worried...but it sounds normal to me. M/C makes our bodies wacky for a while.

I hope your next cycle is spot free

OMG!!! My suprise "gush" came while I was working out too!!! I was on my excersize bike when all of a sudden i felt wet! Sheesh what a suprise... That is way weird! Our periods sound very similar- let me know if you get any slight spotting from now on.

Good question...I'm still waiting for my first AF after my m/c, so I'm wondering the same thing.

I will! I had another suprise gush tonight when I got out of my car to walk in and pick up my son after work.. so weird. And now I'm feeling crampy again.. I am thinking it is normal to be abnormal at this point...

I'm on CD11, first cycle post m/c. I experienced the same as you ladies... very heavy first three days, followed by brown blood (what I thought would be the end of AF's visit), to have her return the next day in a big way - in a stain-my-pants-not-since-I-was-13 kinda way. Be prepared! I had to rush to the bathroom, purse in hand, twice! She hung out for that full day, then one last day of new bleeding, then she left for good in a hurry. All told she was here for about six days.

Hope this helps...

My first AF post m/c was like a normal period for me. I can't remember if there were any extra horrid cramping, but the flow was normal to me.

I'm still in the process of waiting to get back to my 28 day cycles as well! It's been almost 7 months since my m/c.

I've had no cramping luckily. Though I never had much of an issue with cramping with my AFs in the past.

AF for has been moderate flow CD1, heavy CD2, light CD 3&4. Light cramping first day, moderate cramping 2nd day, nothing after. Tomorrow is CD 5. We will see what happens. This is very similiar to my previous cycle. I wonder if I will have strange "gushes" later. Pilates didn't make any difference today. All I know, is I feel GREAT today! LOL

Last night AF seemed to stop and today is only CD3. I wore a light pad to bed (light is all I have) because there was nothing at all going on. Just because you ladies mentioned a gush I put on towel down on the bed just in case, but she hasn't shown back up yet. At least now I know that I'm not alone and that she will probably come back with a fury

Just so you know, my gushes seem to be consistent with being up on my feet or doing activities- the first time was after several minutes on the stairmaster, and yesterday it happened when I was up doing a lot of walking. Today is CD6 and I'm still wearing a small tampon, just in case.. but I think I'm pretty much done at this point. I definitely feel good today.

My 1st AF came 32 days after my d&c. I usually have horrid cramps the 1st day, but that cycle I did not. It was WAY heavier than usual, but still lasted the normal 5 days. But then AF came again 9 days after the 1st one ended and lasted for 2 weeks!! But that one was really light and spotty. Then my next one came right on time, 30 days after the start of the last one...so I feel like I'm back to normal now, and we're ttc. I think it just takes a couple cycles to get back to normal.
