There was a topic about this a little while ago. But i just wanted to talk about MY friend IRL who is also TTC a second baby! She doesnt live near me. We just talk on the phone.

Her name is Eileen, and she has a 15 month old baby girl.

She had a miscarriage in July, shed gotten pregnant on BCP and a couple days after she found out she miscarried... She doesnt talk about it. Kinda like it never happened.

But her and her DH have been TTC since the same time as ME.. we both missed november, and then december, and now we are on to January together... Right now our cycles are pretty close together, but she has like a 32 day cycle and mine is 27 or 28.. so they wont be for long.

My Q for HER is since shes not temping or using OPKs does anyone else in here have a regular 31-32 day cycle? and when do you Ovulate??? because last month she went by the regular 14th day ovulation because she didnt know how long her cycle was... (been on BCP) and obviously, that wasnt when she ovulated...

I am kinda hoping we get pregnant the same month.. because i know we'll both be a little jealouse of the other one who got pregnant first.

Em,

My cycle tends to be around 32 days. I have charted the last 4 months, although I didn't temp last month, but regardless I usually average about 32 days. For me I usually O between CD20-23, but everyone is different. It's funny how before you chart you just assume 14 days is when you O. I think you would be better off to count back 14 days from when you start than to count 14 days ahead, because doing that would give you CD 18, since the average LP for most is 14 days. However the only way to really know for sure would be to chart. If she isn't interested in charting then my advice to her would be to BD every other day, throughout her fertile phase. HTH

I'm the one who posted about ttc with a friend. She has a 28 day cycle, and mine is usually more like 30. I believe I o on CD16 or so, but I just check my CM, I don't temp or use opks. But DH and I just BD every single day anyway, so it doesn't really matter lol.
I agree that most women have a 14 day LP, so she could just try BDing every day around then.

I hope you both get pg this month, and I hope my friend and I do too!

My cycle is 32 days and usually O on day 18. I would tell her to count backward 14 days from when she except her next period and that should be about the time she'll be Oing. Wish you and her the best of luck.

My last cycle I ovulated on day 17 of a normally 30-32 day cycle, and I got pregnant that month. I didn't temp but went by EWCM and a positive OPK. So i'd agree with counting back 14 days from when your period is due. Another tip my friend's doctor told her (the friend just found out she is pregnant again after miscarrying last summer), is to BD every other day on days 10-20 of your cycle, so you should pretty much be covered unless you have really long cycles. It sounds like a safe bet to me to do it this way as well.

Hope it works out for you all- that would be so cool!

That's awesome that the two of you are going through this together! I hope you both get preggers the same month!!!

Now....onto the cycle question!!

Right now I'm having an average of 35 day cycles. I think I'm Oing about 14 days before my period should arrive, which would put me at CD21.

All I suggest is that her and her hubby BD every other night in order to make sure they catch the egg. Tell her to do this throughout her cycle, since she doesn't know when she's Oing, this could get her pregnant fairly quickly.

Good luck to you both!!! Hope this helps her!
