Ok - so I tested at what I think is 12 DPO and today at 14 DPO - two 's.

DH & I like crazy people and still no BFP. In the past I had no problems getting pg - usually happened with in a month, two at the max. My issue has always been early m/c's. It's been 4 months and no BFP. I don't mean to be insensitive, I know there are ladies that have been trying for much longer than that. I'm actually thinking about doing an 21 day detox diet. Has anyone heard of it? The lady that wrote the book 12 lbs in 21 days Roni DeLuz? She's been on Larry King and Robin from Howard Stern's radio show is one of her clients.

Anyhoo - from everything I've read it works, but it is TOUGH to follow. Takes a lot of discipline. But - i have gone to a holistic doctor and he suggested something similar - not as strict as her diet but a cleansing process. I always thought I had a pretty good diet - but I do drink coffee, I do diet sodas and artificial sweeteners, and wine when im not in the 2ww. If I did it - I would have to sacrifice a month of ttc-ing because of all the herbs I would have to take to get out of my system.

The holistic doctor tied pretty much all of my chronic health issues to my diet. Maybe I need to start with a clean slate? I'll try anything at this point. I just don't want to get to my 37th bday (GAAAH!!!) in April and not at least be pg.

What do you think? Should I? www.mvdetox.com

hun I am all for a holistic diet - it's kept me healthy for several years now, and even exploding parts of my reproductive system doesn't kill me. Too healthy I guess .

It can't hurt to try!

Hi! Just coming out of lurking & thought I would say that I think it is a great idea if you can stick to the strict regiment required. Sometimes we need to cleanse our bodies. I wish I had 1/2 the discipline to even consider doing it!

I think it is great to "get healthy" before TTC....however, you really have to be careful with herbal supplements.
Right before my bfp, I did a 9 day detox.. it was the first phase of the "Fat smash" diet...and let me tell you...it works!! and I felt great!!!
it is NOT hard to follow either...I'd be happy to share the details with you if you are interested!

good luck with whatever you decide!!

BTW - the book is Called 21 lbs in 21 days and the website is www.mvdietdetox.com. I botched it up in my original post.

thanks for the encouragement ladies! Dee - i know what you mean about the herbs. That's why I would have to give up that month of ttc'ing because a lot of the herbs in the "inner cleanse" that you take twice daily are harmful to pregnancies. If you could PM me the details on the one you did that would be great! I'm trying to psyche myself up for 3 weeks without chewing! Yikes!

I don't know of a way you can do it without the herbs. They are what gets the bad stuff out of your system. I'm not doing everything that the book says to do TMI ALERT (calls for coffee enemas - no thanks)! But I've read testimonials where people have done it without that and still lost weight, felt better. I have never seen where it worked without the cleansing herbs though.
