Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind my joining you all, I am currently recovering from my second loss, the first being last October.

I was wondering if anyone been tested or suffered from this? What treatment options were you given? Were you able to breastfeed afterwards?

I am seeing some specialists on tuesday and am hoping they will take my suggestion that we look into this. Hyperprolactinemia is basically a surplus of prolactin (hormone secreted by the pituitary gland that induces breastmilk production) and when I had testing that diagnosed my PCOS 7 years ago my prolactin levels were 50 times what they would expect in a non pregnant woman. nobody ever looked into it though, they didn't seem to think it was important.

I've done a stack of research and it is linked with recurrent miscarriage, short LP, insulin resistance, thin uterine lining and low progesterone. Shortish LP, insulin resistance (I'm diabetic) and recurrent miscarriage fit the bill with me, and I really think it's something that needs looking into.

Anyone any thoughts or experiences? I'm in the UK so it's that much more of a chore to talk doctors into looking for stuff!
