I got a call back about this prolonged bleeding and they said it's normal!! They are now saying it is normal for me to bleed for A MONTH after normal levels. WTH? Before, they told me as soon as my levels were down the bleeding would stop, or i should call them. So i guess I can't coun't that as an AF then, so i'm stuck waiting again.

WHAT?!?!? I have never heard of that! Why would they tell you one thing and then turn around and tell you something totally different? I am so sorry you didn't get any answers!

It doesn't make any sense to me either. I'm confused, did you stop bleeding and then start again and are NOW bleeding for a month, or is this continuous from her miscarriage?

Well first I call them when I was still bleeding about a month after my m/c thats when they told me because it was a PMP & my levels were still up that it was normal to bleed lightly until they came back down. She also said if your still bleeding after they;re down call us because thats not normal.

So before i started bleeding heavy I had no spotting for almost 2 weeks. (Why i thought it was AF)

I started bleeding heavy on the 31st and up until about 5 days ago it was still fairly heavy. Hence why i finally called them. I think its completly bogus for them to tell me two different things, as if im over reacting by calling them. She basically said if after a month i was still bleeding call again.

Ok... I'm guessing that the abbrev PMP is partial molar pregnancy. If I'm wrong, correct me.
Did they let you have a natural m/c w/ a partial molar? Or did they do a d&c? If they let you have a natural m/c... go find a new OB-GYN. Molar pregs are serious business. I had a partial molar preg in Sept 2006. When there was no HB on my 8wk u/s & my hCG levels were 60,000 my OB scheduled me for a d&c the next day. I'm sure you've been reading up, but molar pregs can re-occur (meaning the cells can re-grow w/o getting preg again). Most OBs don't want you to try to get preg again for 6-12 months. I had hCG levels drawn every month for 6 months to make sure there was no re-growth. If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM or an email.
Best of Luck!!!
Mandy

That's terrible. Why would they give you mixed messages like that? Is there anyone else you can talk to?

How confusing, at the end of the day its your body and you should know it better than anyone else. If youre not happy make it known, get a 2nd opinion if possible.

I hate when doctors contadict themselves...maybe you should get a 2nd opinion just for your own peace of mind. Good luck!

Maybe you should go in for an appointment and see the doctor. Better safe than sorry, and if the nurse is the one who called you than things can get miscommunicated through them.

Hi there, I am really sorry you are having to deal with this. I have had a lot of trouble recently with doctors, so I would definitely recommend a 2nd opinion. It can be very frustrating and time consuming trying to deal with a doctor who is just not listening, or who is not taking the time to treat you like an individual.

What would it hurt to hear what someone else has to say?

Good luck and I hope you get this all figured out very, very soon!
